We are shaped by our thoughts

We become what we think

 When the mind is pure

Joy follows like a shadow

 That never leaves

We walked awkward to my car. Well, I was awkward as usual. I don't know about him. He looked like his cocky self.

"I'll drive"

I didn't trust him a bit for letting him drive my precious car. It was not that precious but I loved it and if someone else touched it, they would regret it. We drove in silence, until he spoke.

"I see, you're not a chitchat person?"

"Quite observant, I must say."

"You don't seem to like me much."

Not yet

No, stop it you annoying voice in my head. I am not going to like this jackass.

"I don't know you."

We ended up in the MacDrive because they already closed. I took french fries and a milkshake. He took a MacBurger and also a milkshake.

"So, what's your story?", he asked me.

"I grew up with my parents in the house I still live. They broke up, my mom drinks herself to sleep and I have to take care of myself."

"I'm sorry for asking"

"It's okay, I'm used to it. How is your family?"

"Well, I live with my dad, mom and little sister. She is cute but annoying. If you ever see her, I think you'll love her"

The rest of the evening we ate our MacBurger and I dropped him home. His house was adorable. It was a detached house with a cute garden with roses in it. When I came home my mother laid on the couch. Luckily for me I had eaten already because there was nothing left for me. I placed a blanket over my mother. It's not that I hated her so much that I would let her froze to death. She was a good mum a long time ago.

I was confused about tonight. I thought he was a nice guy. But I heard stories about him. And why would he talk to me? It's not like I'm the most special girl on earth. I went upstairs and made myself ready to go to bed. After a while I felt asleep. I had the weidest dream about a greek God on a unicorn. He looked a bit like Jai strange enough.

The next morning I woke up around half past six. It was time for my usual jogging 'trip'. I hoped Jai didn't show up today, or anyone else. I don't like people. I went downstairs and saw my mom still lying on the couche. She was a pretty women. She had a slim figure, a lot of blond curls dancing around her face and bright blue eyes. It was a shame she took care of herself like this.
