Chapter 4: The return of Leo

Everyone except Ivy, who had never met Leo, ran over to greet the son of Hephaestus.

"Leo fucking Valdez! How dare you leave us!" Piper shouted, cussing uncharacteristicly.

"I missed you too Pipes!" Leo said. He slid off of Festus's back and helped a girl down.

She had caramel brown hair, dark brown eyes, and soft features. She wore a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans. All in all, she was way out of Leo's league.

The group gave him a huge hug. Nico and the girl stood off from the rest of the group. I walked over to them.

"Hi, I'm Will Solace. What's your name?" I asked.

"Calypso," she replied. Her voice was soft. It reminded me of a small bell being rung.

"As in the Calypso? The calypso that saved Percy? The Calypso that made everyone think he was dead?" I said.

She nodded "The very same"

"This is Nico, by the way," I said, putting my arm around him.

"Nice to meet you," he said, extending his hand. She shook it.

"Calypso?" A voice said from behind.

We turned around to see Percy. Calypso looked like a deer caught in headlights. "P-Percy," she stammered.

"Why?" He asked, "why did you curse her?"

"Oh my gods, Percy, I'm so sorry!" She cried, "I-I was so upset! I hated myself the second I muttered the curse! Please forgive me," she began to cry.

Percy hugged her. "I forgive you," he said softly.

Then, Leo was there, holding her hand and telling her everything would be okay. It was amazing to see Leo like this. I guess that Calypso just brought out a side of him that nobody knew.

That night we had a party on the beach to celebrate Leo's return. It was amazing. Ivy met Leo and they became good friends. Then, Nico came up to me and whispered, "let's go"

We ran, hand in hand, to the Hades cabin. We went in and closed the door behind us. I sat down on his bed. He pulled a laptop out from under his bed. Then, he went over to a small black bookshelf full of movies and grabbed one. He put it in the laptop and sat next to me. The movie began to play and I recognized it instantly. It was Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I loved that movie. We watched it. Then, when the movie was over we got into a heated argument over which character we were most like. I told Nico he was like Esmeralda. He did not like that at all. "Well, you're kind, incredibly good-looking, and you have dark hair," I pointed out, "who do you think you are?"

"Quasimodo. We could be twins," he said.

I laughed before I realized he was being serious. "Oh gods, Sunshine is that what you think about yourself? You're the hottest guy I know. Hotter than Jason or Percy or any of those guys." I said. I meant every word.

"No I'm not. I'm short and pale and I'm too skinny. I'm not good looking in any way," Nico replied.

"Well, I can't help with your height or complexion, but I do know how to fix that last one," I said.

"How?" Asked Nico.

"Eat!" I stated, "you know, an Aphrodite kid owes me a favour. How about we get you a makeover?"

Nico's eyes lit up. "Seriously? I've been meaning to update my look for a while now, a makeover would be awesome!" He kissed me and snuggled into my chest.

I held him close and eventually drifted off to sleep.
