I sat at my usual table with everyone else, but Nico wasn't here. I looked around the dining pavilion for him and I still couldn't see him. I turned to Iy. "Hey Ivy, do you know where Nico is?" I asked.

"Let me think," she began, "last time I saw him he was visiting the infirmary this morning, but I think I saw him heading towards the climbing wall, then I'm pretty sure I saw him going into the woods when he was done. Oh there he is now, heading towards his cabin. Hi Nico!" She said, waving. Nico waved back, but he didn't come over.

After I waved at Ivy, I went into my cabin, sitting down in front of the fire in a chair. I took out a notebook that had the words death note on it. Hey, what can I say, I'm a fan of anime. I opened to the first page to find that the thing I had been writing had more added on in unfamiliar handwriting. "I'm s-sorry for looking in y-y-your things," said a shy voice, "it was j-j-just such an a-amazing poem that I w-was inspired and I-I-I just added on w-without thinking."

I turned around to find Savannah sitting on her bed. "It's okay," I replied, "I had writers block anyway."

"Y-you know, this would m-m-make a really good s-song, I've g-got a tune that m-m-might work w-well with it, if I tweak it a l-little," she said, sitting down in the armchair across from me. I handed her the notebook and she hummed a tune, stopping here and there to make changes. Then, she handed it back to me. "Okay, h-here's what I g-g-got," she said. Then she began to sing.

"The mist hides what we know is true,
But only what it chooses to.
It says my hands are smeared with blood
Child of death must be the one
To cloud the world with his despair,
To suck the spirit from the air.
Child of death, I walk alone.
I've lost all that I once called home.

Screaming, but the world is deaf.
Pleading, I have nothing left.
Crying for who's in their sight,
Dying because they are right.

I feel alone and so afraid,
I hear demons calling my name.
"There's something wrong with you," they scream.
Well they aren't so far off it seams.
My heart is twisted, heavy, wrong,
It's like it knows I don't belong.
The world is big, lovely to be,
And yet there is no place for me.

Falling into what they think.
Calling death to watch me sink.
Tell me how to numb my heart.
Take me I'm falling apart.

Now the world is dark and cruel.
It's not the game I thought it was.
You can't start over when you lose,
You pay the price everyone does.
How did everything go wrong?
Why do I no longer belong?
Tell me how to numb my heart.
If not I'll surely fall apart.

Child of death,
Count his last breath,
Child of death, I walk alone.

Screaming, but the world is deaf.
Pleading, I have nothing left.
Crying for who's in their sight.
Dying because they are right.
Tell me how to numb my heart.
Take me I'm falling apart.

Child of death, I walk alone."

I began to clap slowly. "That was amazing," I stated, "I noticed that you switched the part you wrote and the part I wrote."

"Y-yeah, I just th-th-thought it sounded b-better that way," she replied.

"I agree, it does sound better that way," I said, "I think it should be called child of death."

"That s-sounds perfect," Savannah replied.

A/N I'm gonna end it here. Also, I just realized that the 666th word in this chapter is end. Dun dun duuuuuuuunnnnn! Sorry, I'm obsessed with supernatural so yeah. Anyway, I'm gonna shut up now.

As always,
