Chapter 5:

Justin

I woke up from my alarm I set for 5:30 p.m. I sat up and rubbed the tiredness from my eyes. Yawning, I got up from my couch and walked down the hall to the bathroom. My hair was everywhere and I couldn't wear it like that to the party, so I fixed it quickly. What I was wearing was fine for a party, a blue bro-tank, black skinny jeans, and blue Supra's. Guessing that it might be cold, I grabbed a black hoodie and pulled it on. I straightened out my clothes and walked back into the living room.

I yelled to my mom,"Mom, I'm going to a party! I'll be back late!"

She yelled back in a calm tone," Okay! Be safe Sweetie!"

I licked my lips and walked out to my car door quickly. I couldn't wait for the party tonight. This week was a rough one for me. On Wednesday was my grandparent's anniversary, causing all the memories to come flooding back to me. Thinking about them not being here anymore always made me act out and get into trouble, which reminds me I have detention on Monday.

I but my lip and I started my Frisker. I let the car warm up before driving off. I started down the road and glanced at my passenger seat, seeing that my sunglasses were sitting on the leather seat. I grabbed them and put them on, holding the steering wheel still with my knees. I looked in the rear-view mirror to see if everything looked alright and I put my hands back on the wheel. My mind started to wonder and I began to start thinking about Maya. Her smile, eyes, and personality. I felt myself begin to smile. I've never felt like this about anyone before. All the girls I've been with were only for a short time, but this was different. I haven't talked to Maya since the time I gave her that rose in the first grade. Why would she want to be with me anyway? I was a player and a rebel. No girl like her would want me.

I almost passed Josh's house, since I was deep in my thoughts. I slammed the breaks and sighed deeply. I pulled up to the curb and put my Frisker in park and walked up to the front door. I knocked gently and adjusted my all black sunglasses on my head. I knocked again and put my hands in my pocket. I licked my lips as I looked around the yard. I sighed, frustrated, and was about to knock for a third time, so I took my hand out of my pocket and raised it, ready to knock, but the door finally opened. I saw Josh, already drunk and smelling terrible. I lowered my hand.

"Welcome Bieber." He slurred, resting a hand on the door in attempt to be cool, but really it was to keep him propped up. He let me in, almost falling. I shot my arm out to steady him and lead him to a nearby chair. After he was seated, I looked around and took off my sunglasses. I spotted Maya, chugging down a beer. I smiled at the sight of her. I felt people push pass me and eventually someone handed me a drink. I took a couple of sips, but lost track of it fast. I walked into the kitchen and spotted a blonde haired, blue eyed girl looking at me. I nodded in her direction and she smiled. I looked away and took a seat at the counter. I propped my elbows against the counter top and glanced to see where Maya was. She had another beer in her hand and I watched her drink it quickly. I chuckled. I felt a hand on my arm, making me turn to see who it belong to. I turned to see the face of the blond girl. I smiled.

"Hi, I'm Massie." She smiled, her perfect white teeth stood out, contrasting with her light tan skin.

"I'm-" I started.

She cut me off," Oh, I know who you are. You're Justin Bieber." She smiled loosely. I figured she was a little tipsy.

I shrugged,"No need for an introduction then." I smiled.

She giggled lightly,"I guess not." She grabbed a drink and sipped at it lightly. She wore a loose yellow top, blue skinny jeans, and sparkly sandals. Her light blonde hair was straight with her bangs pinned back. She glanced up from her drink to look at me. "You know what?" She asked, smiling.
