Once we make our way to my car, I shut the door and stare at Chloe.
"What?", she asks. She applies a coat of lipstick and seems unfazed.
"Why would you say yes to the party?!".
She rolls her eyes. "You agreed too".
She was right, but I only agreed because she said yes first. Either way, I wouldn't win this argument.
"Whatever. I have to go pick up my shoes from Audreys house. Do you want to come, or do I drop you off?", I ask.
"You can drop me off home, I need to get some stuff for tonight", she winks.
I start the engine, and the whole ride is silent as I try to concentrate on the 5 minute ride to her house.
We finally make it to her apartment building, and I yield at the side of her building.
"See you tonight Ray", she blows me a kiss and walks out.

I park my car in Audreys penthouse driveway.
Audrey is my best friend from back home. She's extremely rich and smart. We came to New york together to pursue our dreams and go to college together. We both won a sports scholarship. She's already started her summer semester, and clearly I haven't . She was raging when I told her I was taking a break for this semester. But eventually, she got over it.
I walk into her penthouse with the spare key she gave me and all the lights are off.
"Audrey?", I yell out.
I walk around and I see a faint light at the end of the hall and follow it.
"Audrey?", I repeat.
I walk into the dimly lit room and I see Audrey at her desk with several books and notebooks. She turns around and looks at me as if she'd just seen a ghost.
"Ray? Hey, sorry, I didn't hear you come in", she says. Her curly hair is a mess and she's holding it up with a chip bag clip. She usually wears her contacts, but now she has her glasses on. She has several chip bags on her desk too.
"What have you been doing?", I ask and laugh.
She looks around her room shamefully, "Sorry, I was studying".
I wrinkle my eyebrows and glare at her. "The semester has just started, what are you studying for?".
She rolls her eyes, "My pysch teacher has already assigned us an exam".
I imagine myself taking the summer semester right now, and I shiver at the thought of taking an exam right when the semester started.
"You need to take a break".
Audrey gets up and walks to her kitchen and says,"Why is it so dark in here?". She turns on the lights and her million dollar penthouse is illuminated. I can now see all of her beautiful decor. My favorite part of her penthouse is the chandelier she has in the dining room. Its an antique chandelier made of our childhood pictures together. It was handmade by her parents company. They're high class interior designers back home.
"Aud, I finally came up with the list." I say and hand her the sheet of notebook paper I kept in my pocket.
She opens it up and reads it out loud:
