Once Zack leaves, the older gentleman and I are standing there, staring at eachother.
He takes a long gulp from his drink and winces. "What's your name darling?".
"Raylen", I say. I shouldn't be talking to him, he's old enough to be my dad.
He raises his eyebrows, "Pretty name".
I stand there, waiting for him to tell me his name, but he says nothing.
"What's yours?", I finally ask.
"David". He takes another swig of his heavy alcohol.
I study his features, and notice that he looked oddly familiar. I can't really concentrate because the alcohol was messing with my senses. I put down my drink and really study him.
He looks out into the crowd and I can now only see his side profile.
"You're staring. Do you need to ask me something?", he says as he continues to look out.
I laugh, "Sorry, you look familiar".
He drinks again and scoffs. "Oh, really?".
That's when it hit me.
He's David Beckham. The model. The retired soccer player. I interviewed him once.
How could I be so stupid? The alcohol was messing with my head.
"Oh my God", I mutter. I figured he wouldn't hear but he did.
He looks directly at me again and smirks.
That explained the british accent, and the fact that he was so incredibly handsome.
I take a long drink and finish it. I wave to the bartender for another one and he complies.
"So, Raylen. How old are you may I ask?" He slurs. He was drunk.
Audrey walks up with Scarlett right at that moment.
"David?", Scarlett says and he turns around to face her.
"Scarlett!", they hug and begin a conversation.
"I haven't seen you since last years Givenchy shoot!" She says to him.
Audrey and I look at each other confused and take a sip of our drinks. It was going to be a long night.

The night stretches out, I'm on my fifth drink, and no one knows where Chloe is.
David ended up leaving after his long conversation with Scarlett and he gave me his number too.
So I've met two famous people tonight, let's drink to that.
Audrey, Scarlett, and I dance to every song being played; the alcohol being our energy drink.
The whole night I haven't seen Chloe since we first walked in, so I decide to look for her.
Remember, I'm not in a mental state that can even walk in a straight line right now.
I give Audrey my pointer finger to signal that I'll be right back.
I look around the beach house to find her signature blonde hair anywhere and I can't. Then I noticed, to the far back side of the house, that there were stairs.
I walk up the stairs and several people are up here too. Many are secluded in the rooms. I ask around if they've seen a blonde girl in a pink dress, and they direct me into the last room.
