Chapter 11

Sam POV

As Dean and I get to Laura's room we see that she is hooked up to a bunch of tubes and an IV.

"She can hear you if you wanna say something." says Dr. Maybell

"Ok. Thanks Doc." I say

Dr. Maybell leaves the room.

Dean walks over to Laura's bedside

"Hey Laura. I barely know you but when I met you you seemed like a really nice person. I want you to wake up like now so Sam can see you cause he loves you." says Dean

"I do not!" I say

"Ya whatever. Keep denying it." says Dean

He walks back to me.

Then Dean's phone rings.

"Hello?" says Dean

I look at him.

"Oh hi Vanessa. Yes your sister is ok." says Dean

He covers up the part of the phone where you talk.

"I will be back. Scared girlfriend on the phone." says Dean

He walks out.

As I watched him leave I turn my head to look at Laura. I stare at her just trying to understand what happened. I want her to recover and to become healthy.

I hear Dean talking out in the hallway and I ignore him. He is a pain in the butt for a brother.

I walk up to Laura's side of the bed and grab her hand.

"Hey Laura. So I'm glad your better but not fully better. I want to tell you something but Dean can't hear this." I say

I stand up and shut the door to her room.

I go back to her bedside and grab her hand.

"So that day I met you at the park with Vanessa I sort of fell in love with you. Laura I think you are a pretty, smart, wonderful person and I really want to go out with you but you are engaged to this Evan person Vanessa keeps talking about. I'm happy for you but I wish that I could be with you. Laura Marie Marano. I. Love. You." I say

I stand up and kiss her on the lips. Her lips are super soft.

As I pull away I hear Dean end his call with Vanessa.

I back away to where Dean and I were both standing.

Dean walks in and says "So Vanessa is on her way with her mom and she called Evan and this Ross kid Laura knew so."

"Ok sounds good."

"What's wrong Sammy?"

"I told Laura some things and I just hope we don't change anything."

"What did you tell her?"

Dean grows a smirk on his face. It was one of those tell me know looks.

"I told her what I feel."

"Which was?"

Should I tell him?

"I told her that when we met and when we were talking I fell in love with her and all this other stuff."

"Huh ok. So you said you didn't like her but it turns out you do."

"Apparently I do."

"Do you think she feels the same way?"

"No I don't."

"Well Sammy if you love someone so much go after her."

Dean has a point if I want Laura I gotta go after her.

"But she is engaged."

"Maybe if she feels the same way they might not get married."

"True."

I turn around to see Vanessa, and her mom coming.

"Well at least my baby made it."

"I thought your baby was your car?"

As I say that Dean walks up to Vanessa and picks her up into a hug.

Vanessa's mom keeps walking and comes into the room.

"Hi Sam my names Ellen I'm Laura's mom."

"Hey Ellen."

I shake Ellen's hand.

"Thank you so much for picking up Laura and bringing her here. If it wasn't for you she wouldn't be here!"

"It's no problem Ellen."

I sigh and look at Laura.

"Is everything ok?"

I turn to face Ellen. "Hmm?"

"You seem sad Sam. What's wrong?"

Should I tell Laura's mom? Or should I not?

"Look Ellen, I know Laura is engaged but I have feelings for her. When we met at the park for the first time and we talking I thought we connected."

"Well Sam I know I should be happy for my daughter but I feel like she isn't gonna be happy with Evan. To be honest I think she would be happier with you. You seem like a nice young man."

I blush.

"Look Sam. If you wanna date my daughter, go after her. Don't just push her off because she is engaged tell her how you feel and maybe she will change her mind."

Ellen makes a point. Maybe I do have to just tell Laura how I feel. Wait I already did. Shoot!

"Maybe I will do that. Thank you Mrs. Marano."

"Please call me Ellen."

Ellen pats me on the back and walks out into the hallway. I look at Laura one more time and then I go into the hallway.

As we walk into the hallway Laura's dad, and her two grandmas show up. Laura's dad gives Ellen a hug. They stand there and talk.

I awkwardly stand in the middle of the group. Dean is busy flirting with Laura and everyone is talking. I turn to look into her room and see her awake.

"Look she's awake!"

We all go into her room.

*Present Time*

I sit in a chair right by Laura's bed reading the paper. Laura's dad, her grandma's, Vanessa, Dean, and Ellen left just leaving me with Laura.

"Sam I have something to ask?"

I drop the paper.

"What is it?"

"Did you mean what you said?"

I don't answer right away.

"Um yes..Why?"

She blushes.

"Sam I have been meaning to tell you but.."

"LAURA!!!"

I turn around to see who screamed her name. It was Evan.

"Evan."

Laura sees him and her expression drops. She seemed sad.

"Oh my gosh are you ok?"

Evan gives her a big hug.

As he lets go Laura says "Ya I'm fine."

I stand up and leave the room. I just can't deal with this Evan kid.
