(14) Secrets

"I am so sorry.." I said as I hugged him tighter.
"Don't be..I should've told you when it first happened..." He replied.

The room filled with silence for a quick moment before Kaya and Ki came barging into the room.

"Let go of him you asshole!" Kaya yelled and pulled me away from Dylan. He just slid his hands in his pockets.

"Kaya please calm down.."

"Calm down? He fucking cheated on you!! And you want her to calm down?!" Ki yelled

If only they knew what had happened. I was fighting the urge to tell them but it was a secret. A secret that needed to be kept quiet.

Kaya grabbed my arm and started dragging me away from Dylan. She stopped mid way through and turned around.

Dylan's eyes were filled with tears. He had the look of fear and sadness plastered on his face.

"Don't ever come near him again or I swear to God..I will rip your throat out.." She said and flipped him off before both she and Ki dragged me out, slamming the door behind them.

I knew how much pain he was in but I couldn't do anything. Not with Kaya watching me like a hawk.

The whole time she was busy studying for our test next Friday and Ki was watching a show. I didn't try to leave.

I knew how attentive Kaya was to her surroundings. That's one of the things that makes her an amazing best friend.

Sometimes she took it too far with protecting me but I still loved her.

Then we have Ki.. dumbass..

He was an amazing best friend as well but sometimes he was so childish. But I love that about him. He doesn't take most things seriously and still, he knows when it's not time to mess around.

Now was just a time of waiting for their attention to be focused on something else far away from me.

I got up and went into the bathroom. Kaya looked at me but Ki sat their, his full attention to the TV.

I closed the door behind me before leaning against the sink and pulling my phone out.

Then I started looking at the last conversation Dylan and I had before everything went down hill.

I smiled as I read through the text messages that almost got beat half to death.

'Yeah..'

That's when I noticed the notification of when I changed his contact to his name.

My smile faded but I built up the courage to text him again.

I still left his contact like that.

I blushed at the message and started typing. My heart was racing and loving the feeling of knowing he still loved me even after the way I just shut him out and cursed at him.
