                         Raveness Pov

An annoying buzzing sound startled me the next cloudy mourning. I rolled over on my bed and tried to keep the noise out of my pleasant dream, but soon I got really irritated. I groaned as I sat up. I looked around my cozy room and searched for the source of the noise.

No such luck. I put on my black combat boots, long, leather, black trench jacket and tied my short hair up on a high pony tail. I tied it up with my red, rough ribbon.

Then, I stomped out the door searching for Kirihara. When I made it out my room, I noticed other tired Red Coats getting up and walking the same direction, like robots.

Some weren't even fully dressed yet. I laughed and squeezed my way through the crowd.

Finally, I made it outside to the darkness still, where more Red Coats stood. They were in lines like in the military. I figured it was 4 a.m because I was extremely tired. I growled and searched for Kirihara.

I found her, chest out, body straight, arms at ready holding a long whipping stick. Her riffle was at her side and her long, military like boots stretching up to her knees. She looked like a general. Well duh

I barely made out the barbed fence surrounding the campus, just like a military academy. Everyone marched their way to their lines and stood there, looking like Kirihara, who was now walking back and fro back and fro.

The flag stood high off the ground, the wind making it flutter and flap. It was red with a golden brown circle, bright flames around the circle and a bright yellow eagle with it's wings spread out on the circle. I stared at it with awe.

"Raveness! Why aren't you in your spot?" I looked back at the large group-who wouldn't even lay eyes on me or Kirihara-and noticed that I was the only one out of line.

I looked at Kirihara, who was a few feet away staring at me.

"I don't know where my line is?" I said in a quiet voice.

"When you answer me, you say sir and don't look me in the eye, understood?" her voice boomed loud.

"Sure I guess." I said back not staring.

"You must say sir yes sir is that clear, cadet?"

"Um..err Sir yes sir!" I said.

"Alright! Now get to your places cadet!" I gulped and started to walk away. I went to the first line I saw and copied what they were doing.

I caught a glimpse of Kirihara glaring at me, then she went back to what she was going to say. I smirked at myself knowing this was going to be a fun experience with Kirihara.

A few hours later that bitch made us run miles, not walking RUNNING! If she caught us walking she'd beat the crap out of us. I've seen what she can do and I hope I'm better than her one day and I kill her.

The morning wind was in my sweaty, red face. My breaths were beginning to quicken as my pace quickened. Some of the others started to slow down but I didn't. Some even looked like they were about to faint or something.

As I ran with the crowd at my heels, I caught a glimpse of someone fall down hard. She spit out blood and began to cough. Her hair was a mess, I could see why she fell, her shoe lace was untied and she was as red as a tomato. I could hear her breathing hard as I passed her.

Kirihara walked up to her and grabbed her by the collar. Kirihara hauled the girl up and growled in her face.

"You think this is going to make you get into the Red Coats?! If you can't even run a few miles then I don't think you've got the ability to be in the Red Coats!" yeah 'a few'. I sorta felt bad for the girl.

I chuckled and continued to run.

By then, the sun was making its way up to the sky. The powerful rays of the morning sun blinded me, but not that much to make me quite.

I sighed as we entered the wet, cold woods. The trees were moist and green, so was the grass. I could hear other people at my heels and me trying to catch up to the fast ones.

My nose, face and ears were freezing cold in seconds.

As I ran through two large trees, I felt something on my face. I spit but couldn't get the thing off. I coughed really hard and knew exactly what this was. It was a cobweb. The stickiness all over my face. I stopped and tried to get the cobweb out of my face. I felt the others pass me, not even help me. Losers

I scraped my face with my nails as I failed to take it off. Some was in my mouth and on my cheeks. I despised cobwebs and that was why.

"Hey!"

Shit

I gasped and turned slowly. I managed to open my eyes to Kirihara.

"What do you think your doing?" her voice could be hear from miles away maybe.

"Trying to get this stupid cobweb off my face what else?!" I growled and continued to take the cobweb off with-again-fail.

"Well you should be running your miles!" sheesh

"Well I can't, I've got a stupid cobweb on my face!" I growled.

"You should be running. What if we were in battle and you had to stop just to take a stupid cobweb off? We would lose because of you selfish attempt!"

"Selfish? Battle?! Hold up just a minute, this is not selfish, I'm just trying to take it off. If I would've kept running, I would've tripped making the others trip as well!"

"No, that is a selfish act and to punish you, you'll have to run double the miles you have left, is that clear?"

"You can't make me-"

"It wasn't a question, it was a command! Do it or I'll triple it!" wow she won't know if I cheat.

"No I refuse."

"This isn't your camp your running, it's mine now, you either run double your miles or you fight me." sweet.

"I think the answer is obvious." I grin and stare into her eyes.

"Alright. Just be prepared for what you'll be facing alright? Now, go finish your miles." I smile and continue my run.

I was proud at myself, I was about to fight my new enemy. I officially despise Kirihara, but when I win she'll be humiliated and I'll be in charge then.
