Broken Promises

Lately I've been seeing things,
Like you and I were forever,
Until fate split us apart,
And I found out you did everything to find me.

You broke the peace you offered to make,
With the ones who would never accept,
But then you begun something that wouldn't end,
And I found you,
Tried to protect you,
But you broke the promise you gave me,
It's always the broken promises.
