(Dipper pov)

Everything hurts. Any part of me that can possibly feel pain feels like it is screaming in pain right now. I feel a cold hand on my cheek and a voice that I don't recognize.

"Pinetree? Pinetree, are you alright?"

Painfully and slowly I force my eyes open and realize with horror that the face staring down at me is the same one that had been chasing me through the forest. The only thing different about him now is the black eye patch over his right eye.

I quickly scoot back away from him until my back hits something hard. "S-Stay away from me!"

"Easy, it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. Just calm down. I know that this whole thing must be....a bit frightful to say the least."

My eyes glance around as I realize that the whole room is full of decaying corpses and moving skeletons, all of them staring at me.

I shakily rise to my feet, slowly taking in my surroundings. Aside from all the dead people, this place seems to be some kind of bar. What the fuck is going on?

Feeling something skittering across my hand I look down seeing a cockroach running across my hand. I quickly swat it away as a head is carried by cockroaches across the bar counter.

"What the fuck...." I barely mutter out.

I turn to the corpse in the blonde suit as he tries to grab my hand before I quickly pull away.

"How....this can not be possible...."

"I get that this is all kind of crazy. I honestly was surprised by you myself. I mean, the way you said those vows so perfectly." He shows off the ring on his left hand, it missing all of the skin and flesh that it should have.

I back away from him, my back hitting the bar counter. "Just....what the fuck is going on? Where the hell am I? And who even are you?"

"Um....well....the thing is, it's a bit complicated and a bit of a long story."

"It is quite a story indeed." One corpse leaning against the wall says. His clothes mostly consist of purple and black and he wears a black bowler hat on his head.

"Tad, you really going to do this again?"

"He wants to hear, so why not tell him? Hit it boys."

Some other skeletons around the room start using their own body parts as instruments as he climbs on top of the bar counter getting everyone's attention.

"Hey! Give me a listen you corpses of cheer

At least those of you who still got an ear
I'll tell you a story that'll make a skeleton cry
Of our own jubiliciously lovely corpse groom

Die, die we all pass away
But don't wear a frown 'cause it's really okay
And you might try and hide
And you might try and pray
But we all end up the remains of the day
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah (that's right)
Yeah yeah yeah

Well our boy is a beauty known for miles around
When a mysterious stranger came into town
He's plenty good-looking, but down on his cash
And our poor little baby, he fell hard and fast
When his daddy said no, he just couldn't cope
So our lovers came up with a plan to elope

Die, die we all pass away
But don't wear a frown 'cause it's really okay
And you might try and hide
And you might try and pray
But we all end up the remains of the day
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Yeah yeah yeah

so they conjured up a plan to meet late at night
They told not a soul, kept the whole thing tight
Now, his father's wedding suit fit like a glove
You don't need much when you're really in love
Except for a few things, or some told
Like the family jewels and a satchel of gold
Then next to the graveyard by the old oak tree
On a dark foggy night at a quarter to three
he was ready to go, but where was he?

he waited

There in the shadows, was it his man?

His little heart beat so loud

And then baby, everything went black

Now when he opened her eyes he was dead as dust
His jewels were missing and his heart was bust
So he made a vow lying under that tree
That he'd wait for his true love to come set him free
Always waiting for someone to ask for his hand
When out of the blue comes this groovy young man
Who vows forever to be by his side
And that's the story of our own corpse groom

Die, die we all pass away
But don't wear a frown 'cause it's really okay
And you might try and hide
And you might try and pray
But we all end up the remains of the day"

Everyone around me applauds him but it just feels like my stomach is going to throw up. I quickly push through the crowd and shove open the door going outside.

Once outside I puke on the ground, coughing slightly. I wipe my mouth as I take a look around. This whole place is like the city but more colorful and full of the obviously dead people.

I jump slightly feeling a hand on my shoulder and see that it's him again. I notice that he figdets with the ring on his finger. My mother would kill me if she knew I gave her family heirloom to a corpse.

"Are you alright, Pinetree?"

"Why do you keep calling me that?"

"Well the tree we met under was a pinetree. And you have that branch that is slightly sticking out of your pocket."

"All of that stuff he said, about you getting killed and everything.....was that all true?"

"Yeah.....let me take you somewhere quieter so we can talk about this."

He offers me his hand. He doesn't seem dangerous so far, he actually seems pretty nice and caring.

I hesitantly take his hand as he pulls me through the city.
