(Dipper pov)
Everyone gasps in horror and shock. I can't do anything but just stare in horror. He is the one who murdered Bill? Who robbed him and took his eyes and left him for the wolves.
"Th-That is a lie!" Gideon protests, his grip on Pacifica's arm tightening. "I didn't do anything but leave you!"
"Didn't do anything?!" Bill's hands clench into tight fists before he rips off his eyepatch. "You came to me from behind! When I turned around your knife went into my skull and took out my fucking eye! I clawed at your eye trying to make you stop giving you that stupid scar! I felt each and every stab even when I couldn't move! You left me as I was still breathing! You took every valuable thing I had on me and ran off, leaving me for the wolves to feast on me while I was still fucking alive!"
"I didn't-"
"You gave my mother's ring to your new bride! I see my father's ring on your finger, and I see the chain to his pocket watch sticking out of your suit pocket right there! Did you do the same thing to Emily to? The only true love you ever had who died? Or what about Victoria, the woman who you claimed took off with everything you owned leaving you fucking nothing?!"
Gideon reaches over and pulls a sword out of one of the skeleton's and holds it to Pacifica's throat as he keeps backing away with her. "Stay the fuck back all of you!"
I clench my fists angrily as I take a few steps towards them. "You get your fucking hands off of her."
He sneers, shoving Pacifca to the ground before he swings the sword at me. I'm barely able to steck back and avoid getting sliced in half. He keeps persuing me around the room as I do everything I can to keep the pews in between me and him. He swings the sword at me and I barely duck , the sword breaking the window, before backing away putting some more space in between us.
"Dipper! Catch!" I look at Pacifica who pulled a large kitchen knife out from one of the other corpses. The tosses it in the air. I climb on one of the pews to get away from another one of Gideon's sword slash. I jump off the pew and catch the knife by its handle.
I land on the ground turning to Gideon, brandishing the kitchen knife at him. He slashes the sword at me and I manage to deflect it with the knife. The vibration from his sword hitting the knife is so strong and painful that I almost drop the knife but I force myself to keep my grip on it.
I fall back to avoid one of his sword slashes and roll under a nearby pew to keep away from him. He stabs the sword through it, nearly stabbing me in the process. I look at the knife in my hand before I stab it into Gideon's leg. I hear him yell in pain as I crawl out from under the pew.
I back away from him as he rips the knife out of his leg and tosses it on the other side of the view. He then kicks the rest of the pews, them toppling over each other. I realize too late that I'm in the way when the pews fall on me pinning me to the ground. I try to push the heavey pew off of me when he points the tip of his sword in my face. He yells as he brings the sword down and I shut my eyes tightly bracing for it.
Hearing gasps I look up, Bill standing in front of me, the sword sticking through his stomach. One hand clenches into a fist tightly as he pulls the sword out of himself and instead points it at Gideon.
Gideon just scoffs. "A little dramatic, isn't that?"
"Leave my father's watch and ring, then get the fuck out. Right now, before I change my mind and gut you like I have been wanting to do for a really really long time."
He slips the ring off his finger and drops it to the ground, reaching into his pocket. He takes out the pocket watch and drops it to the ground. He walks up to the two wine glasses and picks one up. Bill keeps an eye on him as he uses one hand to help me life the pew off me enough to get out from under it. I slide out and stand up, Pacifica coming over to me and clinging to me tightly as I wrap my arms around her.
Gideon raises the wine glass. "First, a toast. To Bill. Always the groomsman, never the groom. Tell me. Does a heart still break after it has stopped beating?"
He downs the whole glass and drops it before he makes his way to the side door.
"Both of you should look away. You aren't going to want to see this." Bill warns me and Pacifica. Gideon starts coughing, holding his throat as his skin starts turning the same color as the dead.
I use my hand on the back of Pacifica's head to make sure she doesn't see and close my eyes tightly. I hear Gideon yell and horrible sounds that I don't even want to imagine what the cause of those sounds are.
"You can open your eyes now. They're gone."
I open my eyes, letting go of Pacifica seeing Gideon and all the corpses and skeletons were gone. Bill drops the sword as he picks up the sword and ring. He looks over at Pacifica, his eyes landing on the ring on her finger. She goes to take it off.
"Don't. It suits you. You should keep it."
"Are you sure?" She asks.
"Positive. I'm sorry for everything I put you two through." He walks towards the broken window.
I glance at Pacifica before I go over to Bill. "Bill, wait." He turns to me. "I made a promise to you."
"And I don't want you to keep that promise. Go be with Pacifica. She is a pretty girl, and I see the way she looks at you." He puts the ring and pocket watch in my hand, closing my hand making me hold onto them. "Go live a happy life with her, the life you both deserve." He cups my cheek in his hand before his lips briefly meet mine, kissing me gently before pulling away, a sad smile on his lips. "I loved you. I wish I had met you in my lifetime. Because I will always love you, Pinetree. But you have done something so much better. You have set me free."
He turns back to the window, the moonlight shining down on him. A soft yellow glow surrounds his body and I watch as his body slowly turns into dozens of butterflies that fly off. A yellow one flies around me a few times before it flies out the broken window.
I put on the ring, putting the watch in my pocket before I go over to Pacifica. I gently take her hand in mine. "So....things have been chaotic....but I love you, Pacifica Northwest. And I always will."
"Dipper." She wraps her arms around my neck. "I love you too." I lean down, pulling her closer as I softly kiss her.
