Kat woke up early in the morning to the sound of birds chirping. She slid out of bed and quietly creeped down the stairs of the old house. The girl left out the front door and started walking towards the Marsh's apartment. Hopefully Mary and Beverly had their problems solved because Kat didn't want to sleep over at the Uris's again. She knew that Andrea was being aggressively nice because she felt bad about insulting Kat before, but Kat would rather be somewhere more comfortable.
She opened the door which wasn't locked to see Beverly on the couch. The redhead turned towards the creek on the floorboards.
"Oh, hey!" She said, shoving a spoon of icecream into her mouth. "Where you been?" Kat sat herself down on the sofa, grabbing the ice cream bucket and another spoon of the side table and digging in.
"Uris's."
"Wait." Beverly ogled, dropping her spoon.
"No, no!" Kat shook her head. "Not like that. I promise." Beverly picked her spoon back up and shrugged.
"So how's it going with you and Mary?" Kat asked and Beverly laughed rudely.
"She ran off. The bitch had enough and drove away." She shook her head.
"She's gone?" Kat asked, picking at her cuticles with the spoon.
"Oh. Don't worry, she'll be back." Beverly said. "We should have a party or something tonight, since she's gone."
"She'd probably let you if she was here." Laughed Kat.
"Let me feel rebellious? Would you?" Beverly stared at Kat before jumping onto her and tickling her. "We're gonna have a party! We're gonna have a party!"
"Get off me!" Kat laughed loudly, squeezing her arms close to herself. Beverly finally stopped and laid down on the couch, resting her feet in Kat's lap and grabbing out a cigarette and a lighter. She drew it out and offered to Kat, but she refused.
"We're gonna have a party." Beverly chanted quietly and Kat smirked. "We're gonna have a party!"
