"Come in," Astrid slightly shouted as she heard several knocks on her door.

"Good morning Princess," Kun greeted the girl while holding a tray of food.

"Oh- Good morning! Ah, I told you that I could just go down and get my food." Astrid chuckled and sat on her bed and watched how Kun prepared her breakfast.

"Hey, this is the main reason why we wake up and do work. I'm supposed to help you with these things." Kun perked a brow at her.

"But I don't want to be a burden to you guys,"

"Hey, you're not a burden. Who even told you that-"

"No one. It's just, protecting me seems tiring."

A sigh left Kun's lips and sat down beside the girl and looked at her with a slight smile on his face.

"Astrid," he began.
"All my life I've been protecting you,"

"I've watched you grow, Astrid."

"And now, All my life is about you."

A smile tugged on Astrid's lips and looked at the elder who sat there with a smile on his face.

"Protecting you was never tiring, Astrid." He chuckled and stood up.

"Now, finish your food because Mark will be visiting you." He stated, approaching the door.

"Kun," Astrid called out, stopping Kun from exiting the door.

"Thank you."

A smile formed on Kun's lips and nodded.

"Have a great day ahead, Astrid."

-

"Astrid, Darling," Iseul knocked on her door before going inside.

"Oh, Hey Mum!"

"Hey, Mark's waiting for you."

"Okay,"
An exhale left her lips and turned around to face her Mother.

"How do I look," She questioned, turning around to give her Mother a good view of her outfit.

Iseul smiled and walked over to the girl and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
"Beautiful as always."

A chuckle left Astrid's lips and nodded
"Thanks, Mum."

"Astrid! We're gonna be late for training!" Lisa shouted.

"Come on, you better go. It's your first day of training."

Astrid went out of her room and towards the stairs, her feet getting her down as she faced Mark.

"Good morning."
The boy greeted her with a smile and offered his hand in respect.

Astrid didn't say anything and watched how Mark placed a kiss on her hand in tradition.

"Let's go already," Lisa rolled her eyes and pulled Astrid with her.

"Okay honestly, what is this for?" Astrid asked while Mark was helping her with her Armor.

Mark perked up a brow at her and handed her the sword that he was holding.

"Protection."

"From?"

"Vampires."

"Really?" Astrid tsked, not amazed by the word Vampire.

The training has begun and Astrid wasn't doing well.

"Vampires, they can easily blind you with their Charm."
Mark began, his hands placed behind his back as he was walking.
"Their greatest weapon is their power and charm. "
"Charm, Vampires are extremely beautiful. They can lure you in and think they're in love with you but in reality," He paused.

"They just want your blood."

"That's... cruel," Danielle commented as Mark nodded.

"What about Powers?" Astrid asked.

"Powers, their powers are unbelievably Powerful. Examples are, they can kill you just by their eyes."

"What do you mean?"

"Mind control."

"Second, Vampires are known for their strength. If they wanna go easy, they'll just I guess break your bones."

"And 3rd, Only several Vampires have lethal powers that when you come in contact with them, just by looking, you can be dead."
Mark explained and stopped right in front of Astrid.

"Close your mouth, please."

At what Mark said, immediately Danielle, Lisa and Nayeon started cracking up. Astrid stood there and closed her mouth awkwardly while Mark also laughed at her.

"Jung Astrid! Fix your posture!" Mark scolded.

Mark sighed and approached the girl with his sword in front of him.

"Fight me." Mark simply said as he went in a proper fighting posture.

"What- no, that's unfair for me-"

Without letting her finish her words, Mark charged at her with his sword which she luckily dodged.

"Mark-"

"Fight back."

"Ugh!" She groaned in frustration as she again fell for the 10th time already.

Mark laughed at the girl and offered her his hand. Astrid gazed at him with an irritated look and stood up, declining his offer.

"I hate you." She grumbled and walked away.

"Hey- Astrid! Wait!" Mark shouted and glanced at the girl who motioned him to follow the girl.

"Astrid!" Mark shouted again before running after her.

"Hey listen, I'm sorry," Mark said while catching his breath. Mark has known Astrid since they were a child so he knew that Astrid had a short temper.

Astrid stopped and stood in front of him while her hands were crossed.

"I just want you to learn how to protect yourself,"
"Especially since those Vampires are becoming more active every day these days."

"It's just dangerous out there, you know?" Mark sighed and leaned against the wall.

Mark looked from afar and saw the kids running around the streets.
A smile formed on his lips and looked back at Astrid.

"They're like us back in the days," Mark smiled, remembering those days when everything was still alright, no problems, no training, no danger.

"I still remember the time I scared you," Astrid laughed.

"Hey, I'm still mad about it to this day." Mark joked, earning a smack from Astrid.

Guilt immediately flooded Astrid and looked at Mark.
"Okay- I'm sorry too. It's just, I have a bad-"
"Bad temper, I know." Mark laughed

"Just make sure to be safe out there, they could be everywhere."

"I mean, Kun's with you, right?" Mark questioned.

"Yeah, he's always been there."

"Good." Mark smiled.
"Him, Sicheng, Hendery and Yangyang are the ones that I trust the most."

"Anyways, are you still up for a rematch?"

"Fine, as long as you cook my favourite food later."

"Bet."
