Watch yourself

The beginning

At first I thought this was going to be a fun experience, I'm an outcast and I don't go to many parties or gatherings so this will be the first. I'm not like the other high schoolers I tend to watch the gossip vrs being part of it, like I said I THOUGHT this was going to be a fun experience. Here let me start from the beginning. 

"Oh. My. GOD!! Did u here that Jake is going to be hosting a murder mystery party!! Eeeeekkkk!!"
Said my friend Asher

"A party?? Plus why u so excited Jake is a dick anyway plus it's probably just going to be some cheesy outplay with ketchup."
I said replying to her stupidity of excitement

"Come on!! It will be fun just come this once? And he's not a dick he's just.. Different.."

"No he's not he's just like everyone else nothing new! And I'm not going u can't make me. I haven't gone to a party yet and I'm not planning to go to one at all."

"Oh come on just this once pleaseeee plus I'll be there and you never know you might be upset that u never went to a party in highschool!!"

"Ugh fine whatever just know I'll say I told u so when it's boring and not what u expected"

She got super excited so I started getting excited because why not maybe this won't be as bad 

A week goes by and the party is tomorrow I have no idea what to wear, so I put on my steam punk vintage dress with my steam punk hat and called it good, while walking downstairs the smell of pancakes and bagles filled the halls

"Why you so dressed up darling?" Asked mom

"I told you yesterday me and Asher are having a fashion show at her house and their mom likes when we dress up"

mom doesn't think twice about it but once breakfast was over it was time for school, as soon as I walked in the halls were filled with dressed up teens, as soon as Asher saw me they came running up and speaking really fast

"OMG OMG GUESS WHAT!"

"What?!"

"MY CRUSH JUST ASKED ME OUT!!"

"Oh amazing I'm so happy for you!"

I felt a little doubtful but ignored it. As we walked to our next class Asher didn't stop talking about there crush but never gave a name or idea of gender, knowing them it was probably a boy like normal.. but I started to feel upset and sad about them talking about there knew partner. After school we got into Ashers car and started driving to Jake's family Manchin just out of town. Once we arrived it was not as exciting as we thought..
