Jason and I had to move back to Camp Half-Blood for the safety of the baby.
Chiron talked with Zeus about what god or goddess Ashlie is half of. He said once the baby is a month old we'd know. Ashlie turned exactly one month old today.
"Piper! Come here!" Jason yelled.
"Coming!" I yelled back.
I picked up Ashlie and ran to Jason's cabin.
"Chiron said that we should find out if it's Zeus or Aphrodite today at noon."
"What time is it now?" I asked.
Jason looked at his watch.
"Eleven fifty-seven," Jason replied.
"Oh! So we'll find out soon!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah. Percy's almost here. He wanted to be among the first to know."
"Am I late?" Percy yelled as he ran into the room.
Ashlie wailed.
"Oops," Percy whispered.
"Can you hold her?" I asked Percy, handing over Ashlie.
"Did I even have an option?"
"Honestly, no," I replied sassily.
Then all of a sudden, a bright light filled the room and two symbols appeared in the air.
I gasped.
"Oh my gods," Jason screamed.
In the air, the signs of Aphrodite and Zeus showed.
"You know what this means, right?" I asked nobody in particular.
"I do," Chiron said as he trotted into the room. "It means Ashlie is a goddess, not a Demi-God."
"Oh, that is not good," Jason said.
"We need to keep Ashlie here full-time. She will grow at a rapid rate, so I suspect she will be thirteen within the next two months," Chiron.
"That must be why Ashlie is already so big!" Percy exclaimed.
Wow Percy. Real polite to say around someone.
"Watch it Persassy. That's my daughter you're talking about," Jason warned jokingly.
Percy burst out laughing.
"Did you think I meant fat? Because I meant she was the size of a two year old," Percy explained.
"No, really?" I asked sarcastically.
"Ya, really!" Persassy responded.
"Let's get back to the task at hand," Chiron said.
"Yeah, what are we going to do about Ashlie being a goddess?" I asked.
"I will speak to Zeus on the matter and ask him first what Ashlie will be goddess of. That will help us know what to train her to be ready for," Chiron said.
With that, Chiron trotted out of the room.
"Hey Pipes, what are we going to do? I mean, out daughter is a goddess," Jason said, a concerned look on his face.
"Embrace it, I guess. I mean, our daughter is the first ever child of two Greek Demi-Gods. Not to mention she's immortal and a goddess!"
"That's one way to think of it," Jason grumbled.
"Wait a second! If Ashlie is immortal and a goddess, she can go save Annabeth!" Percy exclaimed.
"What do you mean?" Jason asked, a confused look painted on his face.
"It's long story," Percy said, filling Jason in on the whole situation with Annabeth. I already knew since I am an excellent eavesdropper.
"Oh. Well I've missed a lot," Jason replied.
"Yeah," Percy said.
"Well, as soon as Ashlie is old enough, she'll most defiantly help you get Annabeth back," I stated, trying to act all heroic but failing miserably.
"Thanks guys!" Percy exclaimed, accidentally dropping Ashlie from his arms as he wrapped us in a ginormous bear hug.
"Percy!" Jason and I yelled in unison, running over to our wailing daughter.
"Awe, are you okay Ashlie?" I asked Ashlie in a soothing voice.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" Ashlie asked.
We all gasped in unison.
"What?" Ashlie asked in a little kid voice.
Jason and I exchanged looks.
"Oh, um, nothing!" Percy said in a shocked voice.
"Percy, you watch Ashlie," I demanded.
With that, I ran out of the room to search for Chiron.
