Chapter 2: Ghost hunting

Claire's POV:

I feeding my pet raccoon, Felix, and Ricky was playing around with Alex. I just rolled my eyes, " So, is there a new mission for us, Alex? " I asked to him, and he looking at his phone. " Yes, about some ghost who is haunting and taunting people at this house, " he answered, as he saw me the house. " This is at the edge of town. Get ready, we are going tonight, " I said, proudly. He nodded, and I went to my room to get my gears for this ghost.

I took my gears from my closet, then I heard Felix entered my room. " Felix, what do you need? " I asked to him, as I turned around. I picked him up from the floor, and he made some purring sounds. I love Felix the raccoon, because he is so cute. " I know, you want to come. But you are not old enough. So I am making Ricky in charge, " I explained, as I put down him on the floor.

After I got my gear for the mission, and I put on my gear from the mission. I went outside, and Alex was waiting at the car. " Okay, let's go, Alex, " I said, and I started up the car. Alex came inside the car, and we drove off to the location. I turned on the GPS, then put the location. Then we set off to the house.

After 1 hour and 10 minutes, we made it to the location. We went out the car, and the house was huge, plus it was surrounded with the forest green. " This is the house, right Alex? " I asked to him, and he nodded. We went up to the house, it looked abandoned. Then I knocked on the door, but the door was already opened. We entered the house, I use my dark magic to see if this ghost is dangerous or not. 

Then I realized what ghost it was, " It is a poltergeist, that is a level ten ghost, " I said out loud. " Is that a bad thing? " Alex asked, and I sighed. " There are 15 levels of ghosts, and this poltergeist is going to be hard to beat. But in order to trick poltergeist is to fool it first, " I explained to Alex, and I know to stop a poltergeist. I did before I met Alex, " So how are we going to fool it? " He asked, with curious tone. " Well, we need to fool it by using bait, " I said, and I went back to the car. 

I took out a recorder of sounds, " Poltergeist are attracted sounds and people, so I have this voice recorder. I already recorded some sounds with the help of Ricky and Felix. So we can lure the Poltergeist, " I explained the plan to him, and we started to put the plan in action. I slow went in the house, I put the recorder on the table. Then I started to play the recorded sound, then I ran outside.

Oh this is going to be a hell of a day and night, I thought to myself. We observed what the ghost will do, and then we saw the ghost turned visible. " So, it's also banshee, " I whispered to explained to Alex, " So, it's a hybrid, " Alex semi-whispered. I nodded, " This is ghost is actually a level 12 ghost, " I looked at my book of levels of ghosts. This is not going to be that bad, well this is going to a f*cking hell of day and night.

But I don't need to sleep, I have insomnia. " A level 12 ghost, we can't do that!!!" Alex semi-shouted and semi-whispered. " Uhh, we did defeat a level 15 ghost two years ago. Plus, you said that before when we first saw that ghost, " I explained to Alex with monotone. Then the ghost was looking at our direction, and we ducked. I knew what to do, " I might I have a plan, Alex. Plus, it's involved with lights, " I explained the plan to Alex. " Lights? But how are you going to kill a hybrid ghost with lights? " He asked with panicked tone. " Remembered when we were in high school, I stopped my first ghost with lights, when I was 14. Plus, because it was poltergeist-banshee hybrid like this one, " I explained to Alex.

" So what else will you use to stop it? " He asked, " I will confront it, " I said. He looked worried, " What!?!?" He semi-shouted, " I'm kidding, I am going to talk to it. Like I always do, this might be a lost soul or spirit, " I told Alex, as I went to get the lights from the truck. " All we need to do is to trap it, " I said to Alex, as I give him some of the bright light. Then we entered the house, and we went upstairs. Then we saw the hybrid ghost, and we went back downstairs, " So where are you putting the trap? " Alex asked to me, and I pointed upstairs. " You crazy, that's where is the ghost is, " Alex shouted, " But that exactly, where it like to roam. Plus, we need to confront it. I know I am risk taker, " I shouted, and we went back upstairs.

We went the other direction where the ghost is, and I opened one of the room. " We will put the trap here, you know what to do, " I said, as I started to set up the trap. I pulled out my remote for the lights in my pocket, then I went back downstairs to get the recorder. Then back up, and I went to the room with the trap. I put the recorder on the table, and I started to play it. Then I went to hid under the table with Alex. We waited for the hybrid, and then it came into the room.

Then we waited for it so on the trap, then it went on the trap. I pressed the button on my remote, then it turned. Then it screeched, and we came out under the table. " Why are you taunting and haunting people? " I asked to the ghost with stern tone, and the ghost looked at me. It just screeched at me, but I kept my stern look. Then it hissed at me, and clawed to the air. " I understand you love taunting and haunting people. But why do you do it then? " I asked other question to it.

Then it kept hissing and screeching about something about someone was coming back. This ghost wasn't haunting or taunting anyone, it was warning people. " You been warning people, isn't it? " I asked with shocked tone, and Alex looked confused. It nodded, and kept screeching about someone we already know. " You are telling about a person we already know about, " I translated what the ghost said, and it nodded.

But who is that person? I pressed the button on the remote to turned off the lights. Then the ghost left the room, " I guess, we need to tell the others."
