" Anu , here take this comforter and give me this one . The weather is becoming cold . Don't stay awake late night otherwise You'll catch cold " Annika's mother told her while making her bed . Annika was sitting on the chair looking outside through the window. She was totally lost in her thoughts. Hearing her mother's voice her trance broke .

" Maa, i have got appointment. " she spoke up looking still through the window.

" Really, when you get the appointment ? " Her mother sounded excited .

" Tomorrow " she said simply.

" Tomorrow ! Ok ... It's really great. When will you go ? Did you inform Kabir " her mother chirped in happiness. They were trying to get this appointment for long time , now finally they got it .

" Maa , I'm not going " listening to her , Amrita looked back at her with a frown.

" What ? Why " Amrita was quick to ask .

" Maa , it's already end of the month and i didn't get my salary  and i don't have enough savings . You know that how much fees he take in one appointment. My 1 month salary equals to his one appointment fees . After that how can you expect me to go . " She reasoned .

" Are you mad Anu ? For the last 2 months we are trying to get this appointment and now when we are finally getting it you are saying you'll not go . Anu it's not easy to get his appointment you know that . Why you are behaving immature ? " Amrita almost yelled at her .

" Maa , i have told you why i don't want to go . Then why are you pressurising me ? May be Next time " she also sounded angry and frustrated.

" Anu , I'm telling you . You'll go to that Dr. No matter what " her mother spoke in a cold voice.

" Maa , why are you being so stubborn? Suppose i go to that Dr. Then what about the fees ? From where I'll get it , did you think about this ? "

" Wait " her mother said and went out of the room .

After sometime her mother came back with a bag in her hand . She took something from the bag and kept it on her hand . It was a bundle of money .

" Is it enough? " Amrita said keeping the bundle of money in her hand.

" Maa, this... Money ... From where you get ?" Annika got confused when she found the money .

" It's not a question Anu , you are going to see the dr . That's final "

" Okay ... But maa from where you get it ? I don't remember i give you this "

" Why you want to know Anu ? "

" Plz maa ... "

" Kabir .... Actually the money that you gave him every month, he returned it to me without your notice , so it's your money basically " she told her even though she knew that Annika would be angry if she found out about this . But she didn't have any way around.

" What ? Kabir .... Maa why you take it from him , mom it's his money not mine and you know it very well i don't like when people takes pity on me for my condition. Maa you'll return it to him . " she yelled and almost screamed .
