A Highschool Fairytale?

Chapter 5

Paul's car pulled in the driveway of Anna's house."Well we're here." he said putting the car in park and looking over at Anna.

"Thank you so much."

"It was nothing really." He said as his hand lightly brushed against her cheek.

"What was that?"

"You had a stray piece of hair." He said leaning in.

"Whoa, wait." Anna said holding his shoulders.

"I'm sorry." He said looking down.

"Its okay" she said lifting his face. "Were you going to kiss me?"

"No I was going to hug you" he said laughing and hugging her. "Unless you want me to kiss you." he said leaning back to look at her face.

Anna was blushing so much that even from the dim stree lights Paul could see how red she hadd turned from his question. " I-I think I would like that." she said softly.

"Is that a yes? Because if it is i need to hear you say yes. I want your permission to kiss you. "

"Yes, I want you to kiss me. Right here right now." she said before she could think about it too much.

Paul smiledand cupped her face with one hand "You have no idea how happy you've just made me." He leaned in and started to kiss her gently.

It had been years since Anna had been kissed but that didn't make her rusty at it. She pulled him closer and deepened the kiss.

He was surprised by this and gasped softly and he slowly moved his hand down her neck.

She pulled away slowoly not wanting to. "I should probably get inside before my parents send out a search party."

He sighed softly. "Aw man, alright. But can I come over in the morning, to pick up where we're leaving off tonight?"

She giggled softly "Of course you can come over, but don't expect anything too crazy. You're still just my best friend." she said joking.

"After that I'm still just your friend?" he asked pretending to be hurt.

"I'm joking" she said getting out of his car.

"See you tomorrow beautiful." he said before she closed the car door.
