It was a beautiful day. There were lessons at school. At one point, a secretary entered one of the classrooms. She came for a certain girl whose parents had excused her from school. When she got home, her parents immediately gave her elegant clothes and told her to change into them. When she did, her parents told her to stay in her room for now and that they would call her when the time was right. When she finally heard her name, she moved towards her parents' voice. When she entered the room, apart from her family, she saw a man she had never seen before. He introduced himself and explained what he was doing here. It turned out that his name was Peter and he came here to take the girl to a special school for gifted children, even though the girl did not have such good grades in other subjects. As she went back to pack, she began to wonder why she had been chosen and not someone else. When she packed up, together with Mr. Peter, they moved to the girl's new place of residence. They entered through a gate, after which the whole world looked different. When they arrived, she was taken to her room. As the rest of the staff left, Mr. Peter bowed and said:
-What's your name? I'm sorry but I've already forgotten.
- Starlight. Starlight Wondernight.
-Welcome to Lambda Starlight. This is where you will spend the next few months or years. There's an outfit in the drawer for you. Take a run and wait for Mr. Smee. He will lead you to the first test.
Peter left and Star changed into her uniform and sat on the bed. Beneath it, she noticed a book that said it was from 2014. The girl picked it up and opened it to the first page. Written there was probably the name of the author: William Minerva. Star had never heard of such a person before. She started reading a book that interested her a lot. Suddenly she heard the door open. She quickly kicked the book under the bed and stood up. The doctor entered the room:
-"So you're Starlight, right?"
-Yes, it's me.
-"Okay, I'm Doctor Smee. I will supervise the effects of your work here. It's been a few days in Lambda. Star felt weaker and weaker. She felt guilty for not turning back to another exit. Dr. Smee turned out to be a very nice man. He visited Star often and they talked about books and other things. He also often came with his son Gideon, with whom the girl became friends. It was 9 pm and Star was getting ready for bed. Suddenly she heard someone knocking on the door.
-Open.
-Hello Starlight.
- Hello, doctor. What brings you to me?
I know you want to run away with this. I want to help you.
-Really? But from where, how?
I know you miss your family.
Star looked at the bracelet on her hand. The doctor continued:
"I'll help you and run away with you." We will destroy this place once and for all. But we must find allies. We can't handle it alone.
-Of course, doctor. I will find someone. I promise!
- Good night Starlight.
- Good night, doctor.
And Dr. Smee left. The girl couldn't believe it. She has someone to help her. While planning, Smee told her about William Minerva, or rather James Ratri, with whom he was working. James wanted to free the children, but his family, the royal house and five regency families stood in the way. James will die.
About a few months later, the girl began to put her plan into action. Star got up much earlier. She got dressed and waited for the hour they were supposed to serve her food. At 6:00 am, she heard the loudspeakers turn on and the voice of a man:
- Good morning Starlight
- Good morning, doctor.
The day proceeded normally. Star wondered who she could recruit to help her escape. That day she met one of Lambda's other patients. The girl put a card with the word "Hi" in the cube. The boy replied the same to her. Star put the card with the word "What's your name?" in the cube. In response, she received a piece of paper with the inscription "Vincent. How does yours sound? The girl replied "William Minerva". It was then that she met her new ally and future best friend, Vincent.
