The Devil's Gambler

Chapter 5

  "Hello, Tamaiyuki-san and ah a mittens. I'm glad you're here, there's a spill over there on my carpet," Yumemi stated in some cutesy voice, not that convincing to me, as she picked up a bucket with a toothbrush pointing them at Maeri, making me growl a bit. "Clean it up would you?" the young idol barely got the question out before I pulled Maeri in front of me, flush against my body, my right hand slightly brushing against her collar. "Listen closely Yumemi-san, I don't like repeating myself." I stated with a low growl gurgling in my throat, I feel Maeri shiver in my arms before I continue, "Maeri-san is my pet. Not some house pet for this school so you will treat her with the same respect as anyone else, otherwise I'll make your life hell."

  Yumemi's face contorted with amusement until she noticed the seriousness in my face and eyes, making her visibly gulp and shift her weight back and forth uncomfortably. "I apologize Saotome-san, anyway Tamaiyuki-san our gamble is going to be persuasion of the crowd and improve," I looked at Yumemi with my head tilted slightly as I moved around Maeri to her front, "How is that a gamble? You're an idol, I'm positive those in the crowd are your diehard fans so the odds would definitely be in your favor..." I paused thinking everything over in my head before smirking to myself and looking at her my eyes glowing dimly in excitement, "Nevermind, I'll happily do this gamble with you but before we do this I need to speak my terms."

  Maeri then brought my bag over and presented a white "Minion" collar to the idol making her flinch back in, what I believe to be, shock or disgust. " If I am to win this gamble then you will become a lovely little minion pet, meaning you will live your life normally but once I call for you to fulfill your debt to me you cannot decline, or you'll definitely regret it. I'm not a difficult person to work with Yumemi-san unless you mess with me. Now, do we have a deal?" I ask happily after the serious explanation while reaching out my hand to the idol. Yumemi looked at me with a questioning look before turning away from me with a huff, "Why would I agree to that?! You're basically taking control of my life and how do I know what favor you ask for in the future doesn't make my life horrible? It could destroy me..." She exclaimed and I just chuckled to myself before turning for the door, "Well now isn't that the real gamble Yumemi-san? The thrill of putting your life into someone else's hands is very thrilling~ but seeing as you can't understand that, I'll be leaving you'll have 24 hours to come to your senses Ms. Idol~ I'll be waiting."

As me and Maeri walked out I could hear Yumemi's heartbeat quicken before she tried calling out to me, but I kept walking away giving her the amount of time I promised. As me and Maeri walked down the hall I suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around my shoulders, the scent of roses and rainwater filling my senses, "Hello Yumeko-san~," I almost purred as I turned so I had Yumeko almost pinned to the lockers to the right of the empty hallway, she had a smile on her face while Maeri couldn't stop the blush exploding over face.

  "Jinx-san~ I just wanted to come and ask if you'd like to go to the gambling room with me this evening," she panted out, her face was flushed and I could hear her heart racing. Whether or not the thought of gambling or me being this close to her was making her this much of a mess was a mystery even to me. "I'd love to Yumeko-san, since I haven't been giving you that much attention recently," She perked up a bit and grabbed my arm dragging me down the hall towards the gambling room, Maeri trying to keep up was nearly running behind us.

  When we finally made it to the large gambling hall Yumeko turned and pointed a finger towards my chest, "I challenge you Jinx-san to a gamble!~" she said biting her lip while I stared at her with a mixture of shock and excitement. "I'd love to gamble you, you sneaky lil fox~" I said while wearing a smirk, Yumeko on the other hand seemed to be redder than a tomato. I've never seen her react this hard to anyone, how exciting.

A/N: Hope y'all enjoyed this chapter sorry it's kinda short but I'm trying to take things slow so I don't just get bored or get writer's block and leave this book again. So hopefully I'll keep steadily releasing more chapters like I have been. ❤️
