MEDITERRANEAN SEA

NOVEMBER 16TH, 19:20 EDT

...

The Mediterranean Sea.

From east-to-west it spread across 2,500 miles of open ocean.

As Wally ran across the water, he remembered the stories that his uncle shared with him of the Nullarbor, a near straight road in southern Australia which stretched across 90 miles of nearly nothing. Perfect for a speedster who wanted to think.

But now Wally thought he had one-upped his uncle in the choice of running-path, or "Speedster Paradise", as the ocean left even less room for traffic than the Australian outback.

Ever since he and his friends huddled up in the middle of the Mediterranean on Themyscira, he often found himself running across the sea, looking for anyone who wasn't infected by the blight of the Anti-Life.

It also gave him the perfect opportunity to forget about his troubles and just think and run.

But today, he doesn't want to think...

He just wants to run.

THEMYSCIRA

NOVEMBER 16TH, 19:21 EDT

...

Imra was walking through the forested area of Themyscira, furious and with tears running through her face. The weight of what the Trinity expressed still weighed down on her heart. She wanted to go back to Clark's little man-cave and continue to berate him and the other two for giving up. And now that he wasn't invulnerable, she could even express her frustration physically.

But she knew it wouldn't fix anything. And that was what she needed to focus on: fixing whatever Darkseid broke.

Her first priority, however, was finding Jon.

Imra had not only worshiped Clark as a hero all her life, but she had also known him personally for a long time, and thus the amount of betrayal she had felt from him was immeasurable.

But Jon? Not only was he still just a kid, but Clark was his father! She couldn't even begin to imagine what he was feeling, and she was determined to be there for him.

Finding the young Kryptonian-hybrid wasn't hard. Even if she didn't have telepathic abilities which were useful to track people down, a kid with the powers of a god throwing a temper tantrum was anything but quiet.

She finally reached the small clearing that he had run off to, and as expected, Jon wasn't taking the news well.

She heard him cry out in anger before firing his heat vision at a random rock and completely vaporizing it. He then began pummelling the ground, each punch sending out powerful shockwaves across the entire forest, causing birds to evacuate their nests, fleeing from the perceived threat to their safety.

Imra wiped away her own tears and walked towards Jon without a single hint of fear on her face. Her expression was completely neutral.

He stopped pounding on the ground as his eyes lit up once more and he began to levitate, probably willing to burn the whole damn forest down.

Without warning, Imra grabbed his wrist causing him to look at her suddenly. His face still twisted into an otherworldly expression of hatred which would've scared away most people who didn't know the boy. Not Imra, though.

She slowly pulled him back down to earth and wrapped her arms around him, pressing his head against her chest and slowly caressing the back of his head. The two finally collapsed to the ground as the anger left Jon, despair feeling the void it left behind.
