The team had gathered at the avengers headquarters after a urgent call from Fury about an upcoming mission.
You took your spot closest to Natasha on the table, awaiting for everyone to arrive as flashbacks hit you of the last time you were here, nearly on the edge of death after the Sokovian war.
Sensing your nerves, Natasha gives you a sympathetic look, interlocking your hand with hers as Tony and Steve walk in.
"As most of you are aware, Thanos has the Power stone" Steve explains, "If he gets the rest of the Infinity stones, the whole population could become extinct in a matter of days" the old solider continues, and Natasha's grip strengthens.
"Wanda, Vision, we need you to go into hiding, we are basing you in Edinburgh where y/n and Sam will protect you, and the Mind Stone" he continues.
Before you have a change to speak, Natasha butts in "Woah woah, y/n isn't part of this mission, she hasn't fully recovered" she exclaims.
"Since when did I need my parental consent form signed by you Romanoff" you argue, slightly irritated by her lack of trust in you.
"I don't care, it's a stupid idea Steve" she replies, shaking her head at you.

"Romanoff, you take Sams place, then you can look after her yourself" Tony adds, making you smirk to her disapproval.
"Great, it's like a double date" you laugh, watching the rest of the team do the same and Natasha finally gives in to the idea. You always won her over.
