AS LOVEJOY, LEANDRA, AND AUDREYFINISHED their encore stage, which was concrete, the group all smiled as sweat dripped down their foreheads. for a first show, audrey was in disbelief of just how much practicing to nobody during soundcheck versus performing to hundreds of cameras and people felt.
audrey placed her trumpet down as the group came together as the crowd cheered for the four men on stage, leandra and audrey slightly blending into the dimly lit background. audrey beamed as she took leandra's hand in her right and ash's in her left, she bowed to the crowd. nothing else in that moment mattered than showing just how grateful she was to perform to the crowd.
soon emotions took over audrey as she held her eyes closed, trying to hide the tears as tightly as she could. she felt both her hands let go and cheers slowly dissipate, but audrey stood there, her eyes squeezed shut. a presence came over as they took audrey's hand, immediately warming her cold ones.

he patted her back and soon she stood up, the crowd still cheering as it started to become a ringing sound in the back of her head. her eyes opened as she took sight of wilbur, his eyes softening as he noticed audrey's tearful ones. he waved to the crowd once more before leading her towards the exit door to head back to the lounge.
