The tests conducted on the blood samples found in the pizzeria's 'safe room' produced startling results, matching DNA on each of the five missing children tied to the location - older blood from Susanne Denver and Fritz Valentino, who both disappeared over the summer, and much more fresh blood from Gabriel, Cassidy, and Jeremy Boseman, all of whom vanished mere days ago.

Belongings of the children were found in the possession of former employee Vincent Afton, who has been arrested and taken in for questioning. Though no bodies have been found, it is safe to assume these five cases are indeed linked, and the chances of finding them alive are now slim to none.

"Hello, Mr. Afton."

Scully had to admit, this guy didn't look much like a child murderer.

Vincent looked generally harmless, sitting at the interrogation table and eating pizza with...a spoon. He was smiling, and calm, like he thought he had nothing to worry about. He looked...innocent, but the evidence was all there. This was their guy...right? How could he not be? Scully cleared her throat, holding up her FBI badge for him to see.

"My name is Agent Scully, and this is my partner, Agent Mulder. We are going to ask you a few questions this afternoon."

Vincent nodded, and then his eyes lit up; His gaze had landed on Mulder's bisexual flag pinned to his lapel. He grinned, waving at him.

"Woooooahhh, nice pin, man." He nodded. "Solidarity."

Mulder, the idiot, waved and smiled back. Scully grabbed his wrist.

"Pardon me, allow me to speak to my colleague for a moment before we start." Scully pushed Mulder aside, frowning deeply at him. "You know this man has been charged with the disappearances and potential murders of five children, right Mulder?"

"I don't know," Mulder shrugged. "I don't think he did it. Besides, we haven't gotten far in our investigation about the slenderman. It could still -"

"Oh, will you shut up about that already?" Scully hissed. "The evidence we have points directly to him, and if you take this seriously, we may get some answers out of him."

"Alright, alright..." Mulder huffed. Scully sighed, taking a seat beside Mulder in front of Vincent, who still seemed unbothered. She pulled out her notepad and clicked her pen, clearing her throat once more.

"Mr. Afton, let's talk about your job at Freddy's," she started. "I know it was quite brief, but what can you recall?"

"It was alright." Vincent shrugged. "I was only there for a month before the boss fired me. No hard feelings, though. I don't think I was cut out for the job anyway..."

Scully nodded, scratching a few notes down before reaching for the evidence bag. She pulled out Fritz's pocket knife, holding it up expectantly.

"Mr. Afton, have you ever seen this knife before?"

"Looks like one of the knives my boss's son, Fritz, owned," Vincent admitted all-too easily. He rubbed over his chin, tipping his head to the side. "He did show me his entire knife collection once. He was a cool kid. Really hope he's...uh, okay."

Mulder and Scully exchanged a look.

"Were you aware that we had found this among your possessions at your workplace?"

"I have no idea what you two are talking about."

Oh, he was playing like that, huh? Scully huffed, holding up the hairband.

"And what about this? Have you seen this before?"

"Ehhh, nope." Vincent shrugged. "Never in my life."
