"You still real little, Pumpkin girl." While she stood in front of her combing her hair, Kim stroked Brook's growing belly bump. "That baby ain't showing at all."

"I know, I'm glad." Brooklyn exhaled her deep breath. "My baby doing me right. Ain't having me throwing up; all sick like the twins did."

"I couldn't even stand to eat hot fries with them." Brooklyn frowned her face then smiled. "I love hot fries, Grandma."

"Yeah, we know. Been loving them for forever too." Kim, Brook's grandma added.

"Ouu, Grandma, I seen this necklace last time I came over here and it was soo cute." Brook stood up from her seat and looked around. "Is it still here?"

"Where did you see it at?"

"On the dresser." Brooklyn responded to her as she moved toward the spot to see if she could still see it.

"Well, if you see it bring it over here." Kim said. "I can't do nothing with nothing."

"Grandma, what that even mean?" Brook chuckled.

Brooklyn took the medium-sized box it was put in and went to the bed her grandma was sitting in.

"Ohh. This necklace is the necklace my momma gave me when she got married to my daddy." Brook also shot a peek down at the necklace as Kim did the same.

"They gave it to me, after she passed and wanted me to wear it on my wedding day." Kim said.

"I didn't get to do that though... Cus'  niggas ain't shit!"

"I— grandma." Brooklyn held her mouth gaped and laughed. "So you just let it sit here?"

"No, your momma used to always wear it. I let her wear it on her wedding day too." Kim answered Brook's question. "Just when she passed away.. We kept it again."

"Aww, so that mean it would go to me next?" Brooklyn smiled and glared up at Kim.

"Yes ma'am." Kim replied and lifted the diamond cuban link up from the box.
