Chapter 4 Seeing Marie

We started walking for a long time. Which felt like hours! "What if the letters we're fake?" Said Mia. I looked at her and sighed. "Of course they aren't! Why would they have addresses on them?" I said. "Well it could have been for a play and just wrote a fake address!" Said Mia. "Wait!" I said breathless. "What?" Asked Mia. "I think we're here." I said. "Well let's go try"! Said Mia. We all started going up the steps to the house. I rang the door bell kinda wishing that no one could come. A girl opened the door and said. "Yes? May I help you" She asked. We all looked at her speechless. She was pretty young girl who looked like a maid. She looked like 27 years old. "Oh, sorry. Hi I'm Caroline and this is Mia my sister." I said. "Oh, well nice to meet you both. (she said in a weak smile, she looked exhausted like she hadn't slept for hours!) What would you like to ask Mr. Carry?" She asked. "Oh, Nothing really. I just wanted to ask him a few questions." I said ( with a smile). " Also you didn't tell us your name!" Said Mia. I looked at her. "Oh, my name is Marie Carry the daughter of Mr. Carry." Said Marie. We both looked at each other, and we knew that it was Marie! The girl we we're looking for! "Well how about you come in and ask him the questions that you want to ask him." Said Marie. We both looked at each other with worried looks. "What are we going to do!" Said Mia (in a whisper). I didn't know how to answer that question yet, but soon we we're led to Mr. Carry, his daughter beside him. I took a deep gulp. Hello girls, what can I help you with? He said with a smile. I said well, sir....... (I didn't get to finish my sentence because Mia took it away thanks Mia). Well Sir, first we should introduce ourselves. My name is Mia White. And this is my Sister Caroline White. (Before Mia could finish Mr. got very angry). "White! How could you bring 2 girls named white!" Said Mr. Carry. "Father they didn't tell me their names. I'm so sorry!" Said Marie. I felt so bad for the girl. She didn't deserve this! I said. "Don't hurt her! She's telling the truth we only told her our first names. If anyone should get punished it's me." I said trembling. "I know who you are! But you don't. Your Uncle and Aunt tried to protect you, but you didn't listen to them! Now you'll know who you actually are!" He said. Soon Mr. White came in! And yelled "Don't do anything, or somebody's going to get hurt!" Mr. White said. "Fine!" They don't need to know who they are! They'll figure it out sooner or later!" He said with a wicked smile. I felt so scared. I wanted to help Marie, but I didn't know how! All of a sudden I started to feel dizzy so I sat down. That was the last thing I remembered.
