I tapped my chin in thought, effectively getting more flour on my face. I must admit, I did not expect this to be so difficult. Like seriously, it's a noodle. Or rather, noodles. Either way, I have successfully made them with the help of youtube. Now I'm trying to figure out how much time the pasta should be in there. Actually, should I make the spicy seafood sauce since the noodles are done?

"Hmm..." I looked at my phone, and then shook my head. NO! I can't call him. That just defeats the entire purpose. I smacked myself in the forehead, getting some more flour on myself. With the face-full of flour as a reminder, I rubbed my hands against the apron I was wearing to clean them of the powder. "I'll make the sauce now and do the noodles after. Google says the noodles should cook for like 2 minutes, and google is always right," I concluded.

My hand reached for the big pan in the cabinet under the bar counter, putting it on the biggest burner of the gas stove. I threw in the garlic and oil, then the vodka after a minute or so of the fire heating up the garlic. Once the alcohol cooked off, in went tomatoes and everything else, including my choice of chili. Then I threw in de-shelled shrimp, and I was done. Thank you, internet. I truly love you.

"Should I just boil the noodles when Sanji gets here so it's not cold or something?" I mumbled to no one, yet again. As if he heard me say his name, my phone went off. My eyes directed to the time on the nearby microwave. It's his "driving home" call. Grabbing the device, I put my phone to my ear after answering it. "Hey, babe," I greeted.

"It's so good to hear your voice again, (y/n)," his voice rang into my ear.

I laughed and leaned against the counter with a relaxed smile, "You just heard it this morning, you weirdo. In person, too."

"But it's already 10pm, how could I not miss every single bit of you in that time?" he rhetorically questioned.

"You're right, I'm a piece of art in every way. How was your day at work?" I asked.

"It was alright, it would have been wonderful if you'd have come to be a customer," he half joked.

"Last time I did that, you almost got fired. You paid too much attention to me, and then all the other customer's orders never came out," I told him with a smile of amusement. It was truly something to see. Zeff was not pleased with him one bit. He even forgot to serve the women at other tables. He's not even a waiter, but he was coming out and giving me the food himself.

He laughed a little and said, "Yea I remember. It was fun, though, right?"

"It sure was," I hummed, looking at the food I made on the stove. "How far away are you, baby?"

"I'm about 10 minutes from the house, Love. Why? Is something wrong? Need my help?" the blond asked, going into a slight panic.

My eyes rolled and I calmed him with, "No, nothing is wrong. I was just asking. It sucks that you had to work today, huh?" I turned on a burner for the stove and set the pot of water on top to boil.

"Yea, I was wondering if they'd let me out early, but they never did. I'm so sorry about that," he apologized.

"You literally spent an hour crying about it to me this morning before you went to work, no need for more apologies. Did your coworkers notice your puffy eyes?" I teased.

"They did, but it doesn't matter to me. I had every right to cry over not being able to be with you on Valentines! And then you went to your work since I went to mine! I'm so sorry!"

"SANJI! It's perfectly fine! You're good! I just didn't wanna sit around waiting-"

"Do I have you sitting around waiting right now? You've been home for a few hours. It's all my fault."
