     - There is only one more decision to make. Artemis said to Bianca, - Have you decided, my child?
The girl's face showed hesitation.
- I'm still thinking about it.
- What are you thinking about? - Jackson asked.
- They... they invited me to join the Hunt.
- You can't! You must go to Camp Half-Blood so that Chiron can start teaching you. This way you will be able to survive. Actually, why would you join the Hunters?
- F'r example, f'r imm'rtality - she replied for Bianca Zoe.
- You're kidding, right?
- No. Zoe very rarely jokes about such matters. - I joined the conversation - Joining the Hunt, accompanying Artemis, helping her and fighting side by side; when one takes an oath, they become immortal. Unless they get a fatal wound or give up. Or they will break their oath.

The boy looked at me.
- And how do you know that? And what kind of oath is this?
- Because over 60 years ago I swore an oath myself, very similar, although different to the one that girls take. And the oath? Renunciation of romantic love: without growing up, without getting married.
- You swore? You don't look like a girl or half-blood to me.
- Yes, I did. Mrs. Artemis made this exception for me. And as for the half-blood... There is no distinction among the Hunters: you will find the children of the important or minor gods, and mortal women.
- And Nico? What will happen to him?
- He'll have to go to the Camp. - Artemis replied.
- You can't do that, Bianca! - Jackson said.

- Bianca, may I tell you something? - I asked. She nodded. - Consider this to be the words of a man who has experienced firsthand being in the Camp and among the Hunters: both options are the same. Here and here they will teach you to survive as a daughter of a god or goddess; They will teach you how to fight, teach you what mortals call "mythology", help you master powers if you have any. The difference is what the Hunt has and what Camp does not: practice. As a companion of Artemis, you will almost immediately turn theory into practical knowledge, but in Camp this is not entirely certain and depends on many factors. And there is also the fact of immortality, but not for me.
- Why? - she asked,
- Because I am reluctant to think about not dying: when you see your loved ones and friends grow old and die, and you continue to live. - I sighed heavily as a wave of memories of MY loved ones flooded me - I've been through it once before and I don't want to repeat it.
Bianca and Percy looked at me with surprise, but Zoe and Artemis looked at me with understanding. Bianca shifted her gaze to the former.
- Is it worth?
- T is.
- What does the oath look like? What do I need to do?

These words were followed by the swearing-in of the new Huntress. Jackson tried to be as least rude as possible... and I could understand him: his mission was to bring two new heroes to the Camp, and it ends with the fact that not only does one of them "steal" Artemis, but also his friend is abducted by a monster.
Artemis closed her eyes.
- Zoe, please take Bianca and introduce her to the rules and responsibilities of the Hunters; Percy Jackson, please go back to your friends. Sparrowhawk, please stay with me; I need to talk.
When we were alone in the tent, the goddess smiled half-heartedly,
- So... 501st? If you missed the Hunt, you had to come back to us, not set up a competition for us.
I laughed
- It's not a "competition". We're just taking some of the work off your shoulders.
-Truly? And how do you do it?
- You know very well, madam, that the Greeks were not the only ones with their own... "mythology", and our Earth is quite large... or so Eratosthenes claimed. I remember from the time when I served under Your command, that we sometimes had to hunt several or a dozen monsters at the same time. In addition, there are different monsters from different cultures on nine continents, and not all of them have their own version of the Hunters.
- Nine continents? I thought there are seven of them.
- I included Atlantis and Lemuria. Long story.
