Chapter 3 Execution

i was once again sat on that small cold bench where my plan will be executed i looked around for about 30 minutes, then i started to doubt Isla was really coming but as always a News reporter can't walk away from a good story and thus i soon spotted her.

Isla i said Grimly Hey Frank she said lightheartedly i turned i'm pretty sure i didn't give her my name. yup i searched you up she grinned i sighed smart girl i thought.

so she said you have a story? the old one blew up i scoffed to myself News reporters just can't get enough. sit i said and she laid her handbag and sat the network is interesting i said out of nowhere one person says something the rest will follow i turned to her today is simple i said say one name Katherine Fields for COO. 

Say that name over and over she frowned i don't think i- everyone will know her name soon enough is said cutting her off and then i stood, that all she said mildly unimpressed that's all i repeated and then i started walking away.

---3 hours later (Franks POV)---

The news Spread like wildfire everybody knew the name Katherine Fields now there were sessions devoted to the fact that the only choice for the COO office was Katherine Fields with 78% of the popular vote while Michael smith absolutely stuffing it up on live TV and getting fined and with it his 8% ratings.

Meanwhile i was in my office grinning, relaxing and watching it all unfold i had checked the daily schedule and at 2:30Pm was a meeting with the CEO and Rhea ooh that is not good for him i chuckled.

all i need to do now is wait for the right time.

---Garret Browns Office (Rhea's POV)---

I felt bad for Michael, i really did but there's always that one mistake in your past that catches up to you.

we welcomed Michael smith in but from the look of dread on his face i'm pretty sure he knew what was coming.

Michael Garret said grimly i'm afraid we have some bad news for you, what is it he said depressingly, you'r Fired Garret said without hesitation, I thought so Michael Muttered you'r service is no longer required Garret said without emotion clean out you'r desk and leave immediatly Yes sir he said quietly barely a whisper and he left the room.

pretty Harsh sir was the first thing I said, well you have to be harsh in order to run a company, you have to trash you'r morales and abandon Emotion she nodded slowly I guess you'r right so who are you choosing? well unless the board intervenes which it shouldn't I believe we will be employing Katherine Fields for that position I scoffed impressed I couldn't believe how Frank had played the entire thing perfectly with no miscalculations, although I like to think that i'm an honest person it wouldn't do to inform Garret this was Frank's plan after all it left the company in a better position.

---Garrets Office (Katherine POV)---

Moment of truth i sighed unsure whether I was going to be picked or not although if I wasn't why would I be meeting with them in the first place, Take the horse by the reins Frank said to me although i'm not quite sure why he was here.

i checked my Watch and the time striked 4:00Pm the time was now, i walked into the office to see Garret reading some sort of book he looked up ah Katherine he said smiling right on time he said glancing quickly at a clock on the wall as always i said putting on a sincere smile.

so Katherine he said we've been following you'r progress in the company and you'r record is pretty good and you'r known for taking the bull by it's horns so i'll get to the point he stopped,

as you know we recently had to fire Michael smith the former COO because of his terrible impulsive actions in high school and long story short we need a new one.

my heart lit up like a thousand suns Basically we're offering you the job of COO he said i paused for a bit to make it seem like i was processing the situation and then i looked up and smiled, i would be honoured i said great he said grinning we'll leak it to the New York Post and have a party to make it official and then we shook hands.

i walked out the door to see frank half smiling as if he knew what had happened so?? god Garret and his parties I muttered Frank Grinned he does Have a knack for them.

---The Party (Franks POV)---

the Next day I woke up feeling great or in other words like a master manipulator I grinned put my tie and suit on and got to work, I walked into the main hall on floor 25 and the place was full with people laughing and cracking jokes, I smiled to fit in but honestly i was just there for garret's approval god i felt like a pet.

I Walked over grabbed a champagne glass and poured myself a glass of Rose and sipped it the free wine was the only good part about these parties.

"ahh Katherine" I said approaching her congratulations on your new position Who would've thought? I know right how could you have guessed she said sarcastically then she picked up her wine thank you Frank and i mean that sincerely i got this job because of you, don't worry there will be catches I said smiling.

A couple of businessmen came over and offered their congratulations which Katherine accepted putting on a flashy smile. so Frank we've got a situation, I frowned you'r already working irrelevant she said basically Garret wants to eat StarGo.

My smile faded that's quite a big horse to tame I said mhm she said so what's the plan I asked well Garret wants you to convince them to accept the offer, I shifted uncomfortably what's the range? anyway from 70-90 Million damn i thought well i would be honoure- "Great" Katherine said drinking the last of her wine i'll inform Garret and we'll schedule a meeting for you at 1;00 tomorrow then she spun on her heel and walked away.
