What is Love?

They say love is a feeling—one you can't see, can't touch, but only feel. That maybe, just maybe, it's a spark that sets your heart on fire without warning. And perhaps that's why some still question if it even exists. Among those skeptics was none other than Kim Taehyung.

Taehyung—senior year university student, well-known around campus. He was the guy everyone gravitated toward. Tall, strikingly handsome, with that deep, boxy smile and a personality that made even strangers feel at ease. He was wealthy, raised with elegance and charm, yet grounded with kindness. Girls and boys alike had confessed to him over the years, but he'd never found what he was looking for.

He'd dated, sure. Some short flings, a few longer relationships. But they always ended the same way—with him feeling uncomfortable or disconnected. Whether it was their touch, the way they kissed, or how their voices whispered his name, something always felt off. The butterflies never fluttered. His heart never raced. So eventually, he gave up.

He decided he would wait—wait for someone who could make his heart skip a beat with just one glance. Someone who would shake his world and make him question everything.

Luckily, he wasn't alone. He had his group—his people. Namjoon and Jin, the sweet and soft-spoken couple; Yoongi and Hoseok, the chaotic lovers always bickering but hopelessly in love. Then there was Park Jimin—his best friend, his fellow single comrade. Though Jimin hadn't found "the one" yet, he acted like a self-declared expert on love.

CAFETERIA – LUNCHTIME

The group was loud as always, gathered around their usual table. The couples sat beside each other, whispering and flirting, as if the rest of the world didn't exist.

"Can you all not flirt so disgustingly in front of us?" Jimin groaned, shoving a spoonful of rice into his mouth. "Have some respect for the single people struggling out here!"

Taehyung nodded dramatically. "Seriously! We're emotionally starving and you're feeding each other strawberries like a drama couple. Stop."

Jin rolled his eyes. "Then stop being single. Problem solved."

"You think it's that easy?" Jimin pouted.

"Of course it is. Just open your heart," Hoseok teased.

Taehyung sighed, laying his head dramatically on Jimin's shoulder. "You guys don't get it. I don't want just anyone. I want real love—someone who makes me feel alive. Someone who makes my heart race. Someone whose eyes hold galaxies."

"Damn," Yoongi muttered. "You want a lover or a space telescope?"

The table burst into laughter.

"No, he's right," Jimin said, nodding solemnly. "We want to fall in love—like, real love. Not just some temporary thing."

"Hopeless romantics," Jin said with a fond smile.

"We prefer the term love visionaries, thank you," Taehyung replied, raising an eyebrow.

Before they could continue their debate, Namjoon cleared his throat. "Okay, changing the topic—did you guys hear about the new transfer students?"

"Ohhh, yeah!" Jimin perked up. "Heard they're arriving today, right?"

"Three of them," Hoseok added, sipping his juice. "And rumor has it—they're all... extremely attractive."

Jin's eyes widened. "Wait, are you serious?"

"I can't confirm," Namjoon said with a shrug. "But one of my friends in admin said they came from the States."

Taehyung tilted his head, intrigued. "Interesting."
