The morning sun spilled into the room in soft golden hues, dancing across the skin of two lovers tangled beneath the blankets. The warmth of the day had only just begun, but something in the air already felt different. It was too still, too quiet—like the calm before a storm.

Taehyung stirred first, stretching lazily before turning to gaze at Jungkook, expecting to find that usual mischievous sparkle in his boyfriend's eyes. But today, the light in Jungkook's gaze was dimmer. Faint. Like he was somewhere else entirely.

Taehyung frowned.

"Babe... are you okay?" he asked gently, reaching out to cup his lover's cheek. "You're quiet. Are you sick? Did something happen?"

Jungkook blinked, startled out of his thoughts. He forced a smile, small and hollow around the edges. "No, no. I'm fine, really. Just a little sleepy, that's all. Come on—if we don't eat and leave soon, we'll be late for our date."

Taehyung stared at him for a moment longer. His heart whispered that something was wrong, but he shoved the feeling away and smiled. "Okay, let's go," he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to Jungkook's temple.

They made breakfast together, like always. Taehyung cracked jokes and hummed little songs while Jungkook moved slower than usual, quieter. They ate side by side, laughter filling the kitchen—but only one of them was truly laughing. And the other... the other was memorizing.

Afterwards, Taehyung waited in the living room, excitement bubbling in his chest like soda fizz. When Jungkook stepped out, Tae's jaw dropped.

Tight jeans. A black shirt that hugged his body just right. His dark hair tousled. He looked breathtaking—so stunning it hurt.

"Oh, wow..." Taehyung breathed, completely smitten. "You... you're unreal. Are you sure you're mine?"

Jungkook blushed, trying to look away. "Stop staring!"

"I can't help it," Tae said, walking over and brushing a lock of hair from Jungkook's eyes. "You're perfect. Can I kiss you?"

With a shy nod, Jungkook leaned in, and their lips met in a kiss so sweet and slow it made the world stop. Taehyung held him gently, like something fragile—something he didn't want to break.

"You're so pretty, baby," Tae whispered against his lips.

"You too," Jungkook replied, eyes glistening as he looked down.

"Aw, is my baby shy? God, I love you when you're like this."

"Okay, okay, let's go already!" Jungkook said, flustered.

As they drove, Taehyung kept asking about the surprise, poking Jungkook's side and grinning.

"Tell me! Just a hint!"

"Nope," Jungkook said with a small chuckle. "Just wait. You'll love it."

When they arrived and Jungkook parked the car, he turned to Taehyung and smiled—this time a little brighter, like he was holding the sun for a moment.

"Here we are."

"The amusement park?" Taehyung gasped. "This is where we had our first date."

"I wanted to relive it all," Jungkook said. "Our first official date as lovers."

Tae couldn't speak. He just threw his arms around Jungkook and whispered, "You really are the best thing that's ever happened to me."

They spent hours there—laughing, screaming on rides, eating cotton candy, taking photos like teenagers in love. But even in all that joy, Jungkook's eyes often drifted to Tae with a soft melancholy, like he was trying to burn this day into memory.
