"The Benefactor (II)"
_______________________

"Dad is now out of the prison, judging by your absolutely clear terror." Peter guessed at the suffocating scent of fear and Casey, she was nodding a little as she was focusing on her heartbeat, just trying to slow it down. "Take it easy, Casey. It's very strange, seeing you nervous and freaked out. It makes us nervous." Peter pointed out and Casey's eyes flashed with anger.

"Go fuck yourself." Casey signed and Peter nodded a little, as the anger from the words from him, was slowly replacing the fear and blocking out the old scent with the new ones. "Kind of wished that you had just killed him, when you were going on the rampage of killing everyone." She signed and Peter laughed.

"He was the only one that I could not figure out a way to get to." Peter noted and Casey's eyes, they flashed in rage, determination and fear. But all of it, it was all coming together to have eyes as hard as steel.

"I'm gonna kill him. I don't care if it lands me in prison, so help me, I'll kill him myself." Casey signed and she got her phone back from Derek and she was shaking her head. "But first, we have to find him." Casey reminded and they nodded.

"Let's all go and find a mute assassin with no mouth and a murderous hunter-arsonist, also known as a terrible father." Peter said and Casey glared at him. "Just saying it how it is Case." Peter said and Casey nodded a little bit.

"Can't argue with that." Casey pointed out as the three of them walked away.

Casey dove to the side as a military tomahawk had buried itself into the wall of the school. Derek had tackled Sheriff Stilinski to the side and Casey kicked the door shut that they had opened, swiftly closing it quickly now on the claymore explosive.

Casey yanked out a gun and swiftly she fired it at the Mute, who threw a knife at her and Casey ducked the throw, firing again.

He flung another knife and with deadly accuracy, it was knocking the hand-gun out of her hands as it went flying down the hallway.

Casey grabbed a knife and ran quickly, lunging into the fight, as the two humans went hand-to-hand and Derek rammed into the Mute from the side and he went flying.

Casey suddenly heard a gunshot and she staggered at the shot, pressing her hand automatically to the wound and she felt blood, sticky blood from the wound in her side.

Derek snarled loudly at whomever was behind her with the gun and the sound from his growling, it made Casey's blood run cold.

There was only one person in the world, she knew, that could possibly make him growl like that around her and it was...

Casey turned around and she was staring at a barrel of a heavy-duty shotgun. "Long time no see for awhile now, kid." Casey was frozen clear in place.

The fear, it all came out and flooding immediately at the sight of her father again.

While Derek and Sheriff Stilinski were stopping the other fight, swiftly leaving the Mute alone after realizing that Casey's father was watching them with a smirk on his face. "It's been a long time. If I remember correctly, I got thrown in jail because of you."

"What the hell do you want?" Derek snapped at him and without warning, the shotgun was moved and it fired at him, as Derek roared in pain and he was on the ground, as the blast had hit him in the stomach.

"Stop it!" Casey signed desperately at once, never wishing more to have her voice back. "Stop it! What do you want, why are you here?!" Her eyes were full of fear, but that was normal for this situation.

Her father looked over at her, still having the shotgun pointed all too casually at Derek, who was looking at the blood on his hand. "You would think, that you would have learned a very long time ago, to stop this madness with the Hales." He said and Casey was looking between him and Derek, who was already healing from the wounds.

"They were more of a family to me than you ever were!" Casey furiously signed and he sighed, before he fired again and Derek shouted in pain as the shot connected. "Stop it!"

"Stop it, what?" Her father's tone was dangerous as Casey was shaking her head, until the shotgun was cocked again. "Refuse and I'll blow off his head." He said and Casey was looking at the gun.

"No, you really won't." Peter picked him up by the throat from behind and he flung him down the hallway, and Casey was snapped out of the fearful state as she ran to Derek immediately, signing as she did.

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" Casey was signing in a panic as Derek winced at the pain, but the wounds were already starting to heal.

"Get down!" Derek yanked Casey down onto the ground, as the Mute had retrieved his tomahawk and he had nearly taken off her head. Casey grabbed for her second gun quickly and she rolled over, pointing it at the Mute.

"You have the right to remain silent. You have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford one then one, will be provided for you..." Peter was suddenly clawing the face off of the Mute and Casey was looking at Derek, before her eyes went down the hallway.

Casey saw with some clear sort of horror in her eyes, that her father had escaped and she looked at Derek, who was healing swiftly from the multiple shotgun blasts and he got up from the floor. "Thanks." She signed simply and Derek nodded a bit, as he was looking at Peter, who stood up and now when they looked at him, he was covered in the Mute's blood. "But you should have already killed my father first."

Derek decided to not translate that into words for Sheriff Stilinski, who was carefully picking up the tomahawk with gloved hands to protect potential evidence. "We have found a better way to do this." Derek said to Peter, who looked at him with blood on his face as Peter looked at Casey, who was looking at the mess of what had been the Mute.

"I'm a creature of habit." Peter stated as he walked away from them and Casey looked at her hands, which were trembling.

"Casey?" Derek asked as now always silently, without any communication necessary, she turned around and she walked into the offered hug. "You're shot." He said and she looked down at his words, and then she saw that on his arm, his veins were turning black as he took away her pain. "Are you okay?" Derek asked and Casey looked up at him and fear, it was now rolling off of her in waves. Casey signed a single word and Derek's heart was heavy at the sight of it.

"No."
