After Neteyam had shown me to my sleeping quarters and given me some clothes to wear for tomorrow, he left. He does not like me that much. It is very clear in the way he acts in front of me and the way he talks.

He is closed off and stand-offish. I feel I must tread lightly near him or he will lash out. I am certain that is how most people of the Omaticaya clan will treat me until I can earn my place.

I lay down in my makeshift bed not even bothering to change. Mo'at stitched my wounds and informed me that I need to see her every 12 hours if I want to avoid infection. She does not seem to mind me. When I was in the infirmary she and I talked for nearly an hour about the many wonders of Pandora. She seemed excited that I was so interested in what she had to say.

The sunlight peeking through the branches of my hut wakes me up. It is nice to finally wake up comfortably. I stand up brushing out my hair with my fingers. I yawn loudly, while slapping my face softly to try and wake up.

I look at the clothing Neteyam gave me.

How the fuck is that supposed to go on my body?

I shake my head but try nevertheless. I start with the bottom which is pretty self explanatory. It is a small cloth that that slips on easily. I look at the top wondering how the actual fuck it goes on.

I am standing in the middle of my room with my bloody white tank top and the tiny cloth covering my bottom half when Neytiri comes striding into my room.

I look at her for a second, silent with shock until I i finally find the courage to talk. "Um... Hi?"

"I am here to escort you to breakfast." She smiles slightly at me and nods.

Um okay? What the fuck? Shes being nice now?

"I am having trouble figuring out how to put the top on, would you mind helping?" She grabs the top from the floor and quickly explains how to put it on, then tells me she will wait outside.

Although it still took me a good ten minutes i finally managed to put the top on.

Fina-fucking-ly.

I exit the hut looking over to Neytiri for approval. She smiles and reassures me that I look fine. It feels good to have her approval.

We make small talk all the way to the dining area. I feel the stares of the Omaticaya people but ignore them. I keep my head held high, I will get nowhere here if i listen to every person that tells me I will not make it.

I see Neteyam and Jake in line for food. Me and Neteyam make eye contact before he quickly breaks it and moves to sit down.

"I want to introduce you to my family. If you are to stay here it will be smart for you to make friends, find some friendly faces to confide in. It will not be easy but my clan has taken in strangers before, they will learn to love and accept you just as they did Jake."

I smile at her. It is like her entire personality has switched. She is kind and understanding. Neytiri guides me over to where Jake and Neteyam sat down. The second we arrive their laughter and playfulness is replaced with a more monotonous energy. I smile through the sting, pretending the clear rejection did not bruise my ego.

Neytiri clears her throat. "Amelia this is my family. You have already met Jake and Neteyam. This is Kiri, Lo'ak, and-"

A small child quickly cuts her off, "My names Tuk. Well technically my name is Tuktirey but everyone calls me Tuk. Tuktirey is way to formal but I guess if you want to call me that you can."
