*Neteyam's POV*

"Yea it does. It's known as a corpse flowers, meaning it pretty much always smells like decaying fles..."

Her words meat deaf ears. This is the first time I've seen her in a new light. She isn't just the human girl trying to invade my home- she's the nerdy awkward girl that loves to argue and is intrigued by all things nature.

I watch as she talks nonsense about the smelly plant, how enthusiastic she is about it. It's crazy how different she is when she isn't angry. I'm usually the source of that anger but right now I'm just another person that will listen to her.

"Sorry, I'm probably boring you with this"

Boring me? Definitely not. I can't say things between us have been great these last two weeks but right now I don't mind her presence. Especially when she gets like this. It happens a lot. We will be walking and then she will see something that will intrigues her. She'll continue to spend the next five minutes studying it until she feels she is ready to move on.

It's quite annoying most times, but moments like right now I don't mind.

I look at her and smile softly earning a surprised look. She stands up quickly trying to avoid my gaze. I think it's funny when she gets frazzled.

"Alright let's get out of here mip 'evenge." I stand up, brushing the dirt from my knees.

"That means new girl right?"

"So you do know Na'vi." I smirk at her and in return her ears perk and her eyes widen.

"Maybe." She grins widely at me and walks past me causing me to follow closely. I guide her her to a sitting area near the canteen, having her sit down before I speak.

"Today you will learn to use a bow." Her eyes widen, she looks nervous, "Eat lunch and I will find you when it is time to go."

She salutes me like the weirdo she is before I walk away.

"Stop it Kirri!"I roll my eyes at Lo'ak. Kirri is currently tending to Lo'ak's wounds because he and Spider decided playing with fire was going to be a good idea. He has a few burns on his arms and back. Spider being much more intelligent than my moron of a brother came out unscathed.

Skxawngs.

I am at our home. Dad and mom are out patrolling while the rest of us are eating together. I try to keep the family as in tact as I can but it's hard when dad is never here.

Dad hasn't been the same in a very long time. He scolds us, especially me and Lo'ak. In his eyes everything we do is wrong. Except with Lo'ak he is actually doing things to aggravate our father. With me all I do is try and help.

"Teyam guess what?" I look over at Tuk seeing how happy she is eating her bowl of fruit.

"Hm?"

"I think I'm going to give this to Amelia, do you like it?" I grin at her look at the jewelry she made for Amelia. She made waist beads and necklaces, even a holter for a knife.

"Wow Tuk, those are very good. You sure you don't want to keep them for yourself." She shakes her head at me like the thought what outrageous.

"No way, have you seen what she's been wearing? I mean she look pretty but she needs more jewelry because otherwise the outfit is boring." I laugh at my littlest sister. All of a sudden she gasps loudly as if realizing something important. "Hold on, stay there okay? Don't move!"

She holds my arms down as if she is keeping me in place before running to her room. Kirri and I laugh loudly at her antics before she comes back.

"Look I made this for you! I know your other one broke I mean I don't know if you'll like it but-"

"I like it Tuk, it is perfect." She hands me a head piece that we use for flying. She carved it perfectly for me. I tackle my baby sister into a hug and tickle her sides. She laughs uncontrollably and squirms under my hold.

"Do you- r-really like it?" She asks while still laughing and breathing heavily.

"I love it."

"Yay! I knew you would." He wraps her arms around my neck and I stand up carrying her over to Kirri and Lo'ak. I drop her onto the cushions near them.

"Alright I must go. Stay out of trouble please. I don't need dad yelling at me for your fuck ups." I say looking particularly at Lo'ak. He fauns an offended look and outs a hand on his heart. I shake my head and smile at him.

"I will be home before dinner."

"Bye Teyam!"

When I arrive at the canteen, Amelia is not at her normal spot. Worry fills my senses momentarily. She's probably just looking at a plant Neteyam.

I walk around looking for signs of her.

"Khai did you see where the new girl went?" He points to the right so I start walking.

Why am I always chasing this girl?

"Ameila." My ears perk at her name.

"You want to hear a joke?"

I watch as she smiles.

I should not be jealous that she smiles for them, even if it looks fake.

Oh you've got to be fucking kidding me. She's hanging out with Prakash? I walk over to where they are waiting a moment before walking over. I watch as he tells her a joke, she doesn't seem amused.

I watch as his face deflates, a smile growing on my own. Prakash and I are not on great terms right now. He blamed my brother for something he did. When I decided to show him his actions have consequences he stopped talking to me.

What i wasn't expecting was for Amelia to look sad. She looks angry at herself. I decide that it is time for me to step in.

"Amelia" She looks almost relieved that I called for her. I send my worst glare to Prakash.

"Time to go."
