Chapter 16: The Deal in the Making Part 1

As classes ended for the day, most of the students were heading to do club activities or back to the dorms. However, Raven was trying to find Minerva— as she left something during last class and forgot about it.

Raven: Minerva? Where did she go?
Jade: Oh my, our paths meet again.

As Raven looked up, she noticed Jade walking towards her.

Raven: Jade. Thank you again for helping me today.
Jade: But of course; anything for an underclassmen.

As Raven looked over, she noticed a guy behind him who she recognized looked identical to Jade— clearly being his brother— and was at the library. As that guy smiled at her, she wasn't exactly pleased with seeing him again today.

Raven: It's you again.
???: Ah~ it's little fishy again.
Jade: It appears that you two had an interesting meeting your first time.
Raven: Yes we did, and he played keep-away with the book I was trying to get.
???: Oh yeah. You should have seen her jumping Jade. It was so funny!~
Jade: Oh what a shame.~ If I didn't have to do anything prior earlier we would had meant already.

"Well that was little uncomfortable, and rude"; as that was what Raven was thinking at the moment. Unannounced to her, there are certain words students around the school would called the Leech brothers' behavior. But for now let's call it...questionable; as they actions and reasoning can be confusing— on good days.

Jade: Anyway, I believe my brother needs to properly introduce himself; isn't that right?

As Jade pushed him brother forwarded.

???: Fine~ I'm Floyd. It's nice to see you again little fishy.~

As Floyd bended forward with a wide tooth smile, Raven hesitate winced in response as there was still something off about him— in her opinion at least— but she eventually smiled back a bit.

Raven: It's...nice to see you as well...
Floyd: Eh? What's with the long face. Are you scared?
Raven: It's more unsure than scared; and why would I be scared in the first place?
Floyd: Oh that's because.....You run the risk of being squeezed.

As he said that, Floyd once smiling face to a serious and slightly terrifying face.

Raven: Umm, is he serious about that?
Jade: That depends.
Raven: That's not really reassuring.
Jade: Anyhow, I actually would like to discuss something with you.
Raven: Talk? About what?
Jade: It's nothing posing as major. Just... a few things to help you feel more comfortable here. If you're still feeling a little bit homesick.

Raven looked at him with a puzzled look. She questioned why someone from another dorm would ask if she was homesick; but she guessed that with him being a Vice-Housewarden and her heritage everyone was just looking out for her.

Raven: Don't worry, I'm doing okay.
Jade: Ah I see. That is good to hear.
Floyd: This is booorrring.~ I know, let's go to the Monstro Lounge.
Raven: The Monstro Lounge?
Jade: Yes. It's a cafe run in of dormitory and Floyd and I happen to work there as well.
Perhaps you should tag along with us.

As Jade smiled, Raven pondered on the question. She would admit that does sound nice; but before she could answer, Minerva walked towards them.

Minerva: Ah, Raven there you are. Someone said you were looking for me?
Raven: Min. I wanted to return the book we had last class.
Minerva: Thanks. I forgot it for a second and tried to find—
