As the first century of the Targaryen dynasty came to a close, the health of the Old king, Jaehaerys, was failing.
In those days House Targaryen stood at the height of its strength, with ten adult dragons under its yoke. No power in the world could stand against it.
King Jaeharys reigned over nearly 60 years of peace and prosperity ,but tragedy had claimed both his sons, leaving his succession in doubt.
So in the year 101, The old king called a great council to choose an heir. Over a thousand lords made the journey Harrenhal.
Fourteen succession claims were heard, but only two were truly considered.
Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, the Kings eldest descendant, and her younger cousin, Prince Viserys Targaryen. The kinda eldest male descendant.
"It is declared by all lords paramount and lords vassal of the seven kingdoms, that prince Viserys Targaryen be made prince of dragon stone." King Jaehaerys spoke loud and clear.
Rhaenys, a woman, would not inherit the iron throne, the lords instead chose Viserys.

Jaehaerys called the great council to prevent a war being fought over his succession. For he knew the cold truth.

172 years before the death of the mad king, Aerys, and the birth of his daughter, Princess Daenerys Targaryen.

Above the clouds, a dragon could be seen soaring through the sky, roaring and calling out to all that could hear him.
The dragon in question was called Drogon, Princess Daenerys Targaryens Dragon.
Flying near him, Syrax could be seen, roaring to the clouds below.
The two could be seen circling and playing with one another, while their riders laughed in pure bliss.
Soon enough a castle came into view, and Syrax and Drogon headed straight towards it.
Flying so close the birds scattered upon hearing the dragons mighty calls.
The dragons kept flying until they reached the Dragon pit.
Many citizens looked up in awe and admiration upon seeing the dragons.
Drogon landed on the sandy terrain, with Syrax landing beside not a second later.
People who handled the dragons started to walk up, but Drogon and Syrax gave them warning growls and snarls.
"Dohaerās Syrax!" Serve.
Drogon blew out a breath, a smoky air coming out and fanning the dragon keepers faces.
"Umbās" another called out to her dragon.
Danaerys slid off her dragon before walking around to pat his snout, pushing her own face against his.
"Calm down my child, don't eat the Poor man." She said in high Valaryion.
She watched as Rhaenyra walked forward after dismounting Syrax to pet his scales as well.
When people saw Daenerys riding Drogon, they didn't think anything of it,it was when she got off that people became shocked.
