The other girl

Okay! I'm so excited because they just announced that there will be a school dance on this Friday! Elizabeth and I were jumping around like crazy. I mean this was in the middle of class. But we didn't care. In fact we didn't even care about the queens that were probably thinking we were crazy. After class I went in line for a drink of water. Al and Sam were in front of me and I couldn't help but listen what they were saying. Al: "dude are you even going to ask your girl to the dance?" I knew that they were talking about Sally. "I don't know man, I'll think about it." The line moved as they were still talking. Al told me I could budge him. So I did. But I still have ears... "What about you man?" Al looked around the room. I was still getting a drink and stood up when he said " I think I'm gonna ask Elizabeth" that's when I spit water on Al and Sam. They looked at me and I was still frozen. In shock. "Ops I'm really sorr-" as I moved out line. I couldn't help but laugh that I got water on them. "Whatever it's fine" but for some reason I couldn't get the smile off my face. I was so happy. Al was gonna ask Elizabeth to the dance! But right as soon as I went to my locker my smile faded because of Heather. I was surprised when she talked to me. "So Renee are you going to the dance alone. Because if you are you shouldn't even come." I was surprised that she was being a bitch to me. Because what have I ever done to her. But of course I said the most stupidest thing back. "I don't know yet." Then she just laughed and did that evil eye thing (I hate that) why does my life suck. So much? Then as I was walking to my next class Jack was walking my way! I started blushing and then he stopped right in front of me. "Hey Renee." All I could think in my head was 'play it cool Renee, don't mess up this perfect moment' "hey." I said back. He finally smiled and said "what's up with you" that means he wanted to talk to me. "Not much, I guess." So far so good. I notice he kept staring in my eyes. And It was probably because I was looking at him in the eye too. "Oh see you around then." Moment ruined! I rushed into class and saw Jack talking to Heather. And she was looking at me. But I focused on the teacher. I needed to get my grades up. :/ But I still couldn't stay focused because I could feel Jack staring at me. Maybe this could be the year I finally get. Boyfriend! We got the rest of class time to work on the homework with a partner. Sally and Sam were already together. Those two make a cute couple. But if he ever does anything to hurt Sally, I will make sure he knows the pain he put on her. Because Sally talks him non-stop. I looked and Elizabeth and Mart were partners. That's when Shay came right up to me. Probably because their was no one else to choose. "Hi, do you want to work together?" Shay is this girl in school who is super smart. I mean why would she ever want me as her partner. But I said sure because She seems really nice. She was wearing the prettiest blue I had ever seen and she wore black leggings. I usually don't like dresses that much but I wanted to steal her outfit so bad. after we finished our homework we talked the hole time. She is also an amazing artist. Once the bell rang we left.
