Matt stands in the doorway looking at the pair. "Wow, get a room," he says. He is holding back all of his emotions, trying to ignore them as they surface. He doesn't know why, but it hurt. Seeing Chris and Julia really fucking hurt. He met Julia in 1st grade along with everyone else, but Matt and Julia had always had a special kind of friendship. Flirty - some would say, toxic - others would say. Matt loved Julia as a friend. But maybe he liked her more than that. Maybe he LOVED her more than that.

Despite his feelings, Matt laughed and walked out. Holding his heart as he sat on his bed. He felt so much, mostly anger. Furious at Chris. It wasn't like they were dating, but he felt rather protective over her. Matt hadn't realised he loved her, ever since he saw the girl with two plaits, swinging on the monkey bars. Matt loved Julia. But it seemed that Chris was beginning to like her.

If Matt takes too long to realise that he loves Julia, it could really end up completely fucked. He had no idea what to do. He walked outside to the porch, his favourite spot when he was feeling anxious. The only person who knew why he sat there was Julia, and she wasn't sitting with him.

*meanwhile in the kitchen*

"Look, Chris, i really like you, i do, as a friend. It's just... Nick's right. This group had been together for far too long to let something as stupid as this ruin it." Julia immediately regrets her choice of words as she see's Chris's shoulders tense.

"I know, Julia, but i really like you. Even, Nick saw it." Chris's voice is raspy. Julia hears it. She gives him a sympathetic smile, not sure what she is going to say to this boy. She begins to slowly shake her head, "Chris," she is interrupted by Chris's lips once more. But this time, she doesn't pull away. Chris wraps his arms around Julia's waist and lifts her onto the kitchen bench, she giggles. "Give it a shot?," Chris says while taking a brief break from their mouths touching.
