Torma..

I hated this feeling, one of uncertainty. One of fear and confusion.
I was supposed to be dead, but here I was.. breathing and certainly not injured.

'Here!' Levi handed me a glass of water, I placed it on the table not trusting any of them.
I didn't like Levi from the start but I hoped he was on my side right now.

He was. For Danielle. But I needed to be sure.

'She is no human!' Thelma accused, her finger not failing to show it.

'She is!' Levi grumbled. 'There is a logical explanation for her quick healing!'

'She is a vampire!' Thelma continued.

'We could've smelled her!' Harrison defended. It didn't change the fact that he tried to kill me.

'She is definitely not a wolf!' Thelma folded her nose in disgust. 'I don't smell it and I have a good nose!'

'Perhaps..a witch!' Tressa spoke and the room went silent.

'We haven't seen one for decades!' Levi sighed. 'Some say centuries and besides, they don't heal that quick!'

'I want to go home!' I murmured. Levi looked concerned.

'Not until you tell us what you are!' Thelma growled. Levi glared at her and she whimpered.

'I'll take you home but just so you know.. you'll be picking up your stuff because your mom is done packing for you!' He said hesitantly.

I looked at him. 'And what about mom?'

'She'll be returning to Badibore.. for news about your father!' He awkwardly answered.

I smiled. 'Does that mean you're rejected?'

He winced. 'Of course not..I just haven't asked yet!' He rubbed the back of his neck.

'So you do have a crush on my mother!' I mouthed not sure if I wanted the rest to know.
He looked away a faint hue around his neck.

I laughed and the rest looked shocked. I just wanted to feel better about myself right now.

'But mom can tell us about why..'

'You touched the back of your neck with your hand..and I am guessing it is the one you used to help his highness_' Sean spoke up. 'Perhaps his blood touched your wounds and healed you?'

That made sense, I took it. I was human.

'But that can only work if..' Harrison paused. 'She is turning and we don't feel a bond growing..'

'She still smells human!' Tressa interrupted. 'But there's another scenario where she'd be healed...and that's if she is..'

'Impossible!' Levi interrupted.

'But then it'd make sense why Goré wants her as it's humanity!' Sean spoke again.

'Then it is true..she is like us!' Thelma smirked. She seemed more welcoming now. 'A creature a myth to all, even to us right now. One with blood like a solvent accepting all blood, blood linked with darkness and that to light_'

'_because the creator is one..Favie and Alyna, halves of each other. The light and the dark, incomplete without each other. Leaving our kinds with a loop hole..An answer to Synergy's problem, the path to unity. The Linkup pure!' Levi completed looking at me like I was some prized jewel.

'You guys want to kill me because you think I am some sort of..pureling?' I looked at them in shock when Levi grabbed my arm and sliced my flesh with his claws.

I yelled in pain.

I retracted my arm, tears spilling from my eyes. I looked up at him and saw him do the same with his arm. I tried to move away but he pulled my arm and rubbed some blood on mine.

I watched the flesh stitch itself up before my arm was as good as new. I looked at Levi tears still falling from my eyes.
The sound of wind interrupted everything and a small vine appeared where my blood had dropped.

Harrison and Levi shared a silent conversation.

'If you're taking her to Lexve then you better do it now!' Harrison yelled when vines slithered into the house from everywhere.

I screamed.

I felt Levi throw me over his shoulder and I was shocked not to hear him wince.
'Levi..your wounds!'

'Don't worry I am all healed up!' He assured me as he ran out the house to the car.
He practically threw me into the car before attempting to climb over me.

It was so awkward the way his body was rubbing on mine. He got stuck somewhere on the way and I couldn't help but notice how muscular he was.
His thighs_

I rolled to the side and let him squeeze past me. He kneed me in the stomach but still got to his seat.
I put in the key and started the car, he looked at me when the car roared.

'Sorry about that!' He blushed. 'I didn't use my head_'

'It's okay..I am good!' I gave him a thumbs up and looked back at the house.
'What about the rest?'

'The vines want you.. they'll be fine as long as we get you out of here!' The car begun to pull out of the compound and onto the road.
The drive was noisy with all the tire sounds on the murram and the sirens as the fire brigade stopped the forest from burning down.

Levi drove like a mad man. Not that I wasn't safe, he made sure of that. I had a feeling I wasn't going to leave his sight now that I was a pureling?

The journey quietened when the car hit tarmac. I let out a breath I was surprised to be holding.
Levi looked at me.

'Are you okay?'

'For crying out loud I am fine!' I laughed. For some reason he didn't irritate me now.
I looked out the window and saw how dazzling the sky was. The stars scattered about it twinkling and the clouds appearing and disappearing.

I sighed again.

'Do I really have to go to leaves?' I asked and he scoffed.

'First of all, it's Lexve! And yes..it's for your own good.' He sighed. 'At least we know why Goré wants you..you're special!'

'Aww..thank you. I know I am_'

'Don't push it!' Levi growled. 'I mean to us..the mythological creatures. You bind us but can very much separate us. Goré wants you for those reasons!'

'Isn't Goré a tree?' I blew a raspberry. 'Can't you just cut it down?'

'No.. Goré isn't just a tree..' Levi said seriously. 'Goré is pretty much alive!'
