The wolf and sheep game, basically
TW: Death

There was a point of turmoil and shedding of tears, until Shibuki spoke.
"What's the point of three sheep, and a wolf? All the sheep has to do is hide, so why does the wolf die?"

Arisu thought for a bit and the answer struck him. The air was sucked out of his lungs, and he felt as if he couldn't breath.

"..No, it's the sheep that die. The wolf is the only one that survives. The person with a wolf label at the end..wins" Arisu stammered.

All of them could hear him panicking as he tried to unscrew his collar. They all knew it's either he's the only one that survives, or they all die.

They could hear him running, calling out their names one by one. It was obvious by the strain in his voice, that he didn't want to live.

"You guys deserve to live more than I do! Karube, you wanted to marry that girl right? A-and Chota, you want to leave this place right? Shibuki too! Y-Y/N! You wanted to get on top of the Tokyo Tower." He was blabbering on, yet all four of them remained silent.

Y/N emerged from their hiding place, glancing just in time to see Arisu looking around himself with a panicked expression.

"Karube? Y/N? Chota! Shibuki! Anyone!"

"I'm right here idiot" He turned to face them hearing their voice, only to see them staring at a different direction.

"Y/N please, please look at me" He pleaded, yet they didn't listen.

"Arisu.. we all chose you to survive." Karube spoke up, appearing as well beside Y/N. He too avoided Arisu's gaze.

"I don't deserve this, one of you look at me please!" It shocked them to hear raw anger and vulnerability in his voice.

"Shut up Arisu, you deserve to live like the rest of us. This was meant to be our fate, you were meant to leave alive.. we were meant to be a sacrifice." Chota calmly explained

"Arisu" Y/N began, and he looked at them.

Y/N hadn't known Arisu and his group of friends that long. Before they met them, they were alone. They didn't have anybody. Only during the tag game did Arisu confront them and ask if they wanted to be friends.

The five of them grew closer in that short span of time, everyone shared their dreams that they planned to accomplish if the games ever did end.

Yet here they were with only one possible survivor.

"Arisu, promise you'll make it back and win these hellish games" Y/N spoke firmly

"Y/-"

"Arisu please." Their voice was strained, and Arisu lost his voice as the robotic voice spoke.

'Ten seconds remaining'

"I promise" he whispered defeated, and he turned away as a sickly explosion rang through his collar, hearing both of Y/N's and Karube's body hitting the ground.

No, he couldn't face any of them, knowing he wouldn't be able to stand it.

He had promised to win all these games, and he would do it. He just hoped that once he made it out, he'll see all of them.

Now, all he dreamed of was to see his friends alive.

He knew it was impossible, but the false hope kept him going.

He'll make it out alive, just for them.
