Frozen Butterfly (Arknights x MaleReader)

Ursus, Blizzards & Butterflys

Ursus has been in a panic. For a government that decided there territory will stay in the tundra they expected snow storms... but never this bad. There capital Chernobog has been in an emergency lock down. As the city was stuck. It was not able to move as ice froze most of Chernobogs movement. This has been going on for a month. At first Ursus thought it was just a rouge storm. But after a week of it staying they decided to call for help. Sadly the only people they could get through to was Rhodes Island. A group of infected. Although hesitant this was there last hope. Sp through gritted teeth and annoyed gazes they accept help from Rhodes Island.

Rhodes Island after getting this request immediately scrambled a team together.

Amaya, Kal'tist, Skadi, Surtr, Ifrit, Silence, Blaze, and Silverash. Though an odd team they needed to bring people who were used to the cold or can regulate flames.

Having said this the team would still having trouble even getting close to the city, let alone into it. Around 10 miles out of the city there's was light snow fall that quickly became harsh blizzards. There was no getting in ot out after getting near, so Rhodes Island had to come extra prepared. The expedition was set to start in 2 days. Those who were not adapted to the cold weather would have to take extra precautions around the cold as they haven't measured the full range of the temperature. They were expecting temperature below 0 after they reach the city so keeping warm was a must. All in all the Ark was trying to put together anything to help there operators keep warm.

---in Chernobog---

Muffled singing can be heard through the blizzard as butterflys flew through the snow like it wasn't even there. A single butterfly slowly decends towards the town center where the blizzard seemed strongest. Although when it reached inside the area was clear... a small safe haven through the blizzard as a figure sung a calming tune to a small infected girl as she rested her head in the figures lap as the figure stroke her matted brown hair. It was a strange change of scenery to the area around them. The figure that was humming opened there eyes to look at the lone butterfly as they raised there finger for it to land. There face was femine in nature. Even at a second glance they seemed female. Although apon a closer inspection this figure was male. The figure smiled softly at the butterfly as frost slowly overtook his finger, although he didn't seem bothered by this.

???: "So they called for help from the Infected? Rhodes Island was it? Please let them find a safe passage through my domain. This young one needs help and I can't really get up and leave her for long now can I?"

The figure spoke with a calm, deep voice that did not match his face at all. Though it did prove him male.

???: "I will stay here and wait. The tempest will calm down for there group. Be there guide little one."

With that the butterfly took off back into the blizzard as the man went back to humming how tune and petting the Draco girl.

---2 days later---

After 2 days Rhodes Island finally set out to Chernobog. Right when they started to enter the snowstorm many of them felt off... for one they were seeing alot of butterflys surround them and there was also a weird clearing when they walked. The Blizzard seemed to part for there small group which made them more cautious. After about an hour of Straight walking they started to hear singing. Skadi being Skadi seemed to wonder off after she heard it and started to look for it as she subconsciously followed the butterfly. As she followed it into a clearing where instead of a Blizzard was a lightly snow capped city center where multiple butterflys seemed to dance around a figure who was doing a young Draco girls hair. When the figure talked she was a little shocked.

???: "Sweetie your hair is a mess... take more care of it."

???2: "But Mr if I mess it up you always fix it..."

???: "I can't always fix your hair young one. Ah we have one of our many guests... please wait a bit for your other companions, it will be easier to explain everything when there all here."

Skadi: "... your a dude?"

???: "Hmm- yes and your a women? What does that have to do with anything?"

Skadi: "Why is the blizzard not targeting this place?"

???: "because I didn't want it too? Ah your friends are here."

Skadi turns her head and sure enough the rest of her team join her.

Amiya: "Miss Skadi please don't run off like that!"

Skadi: "... I heard singing and followed it."

???: "Ah... Please be more careful as much as I did want you to find me it's not really a wise decision to follow random singing."

By this time the rest of the squad see the man as he is doing the young girls hair.

???2: "Mr are you almost done?"

???: "yes give me a second sweetheart, I just need to tie it."

???2: "Okay..."

As the man finishes her hair he smiles and pats her head.

???: "all good sweetheart. Go get yourself some food the butterfly will guide you. Just stay close."

???2: "Okay."

As the girl walks into the storm a butterfly flutters just barely in front of her as the storm parts for it.

???: "now then alow me to intro myself. My name is (Y) (L) it's a pleasure to meet you. Although I do wish that Ursus called you sooner. They were very determined to not get help from any infected."

The man introduced himself. Despite being feminine he was fairly tall. He had long (H/C) hair and dull (E/C) eyes that reflect the snow around him. Despite the freezing temperatures he didn't seem to wear alot of clothes. A Turtleneck, jeans, and a fur lined jacket. He didn't seem to have any weapons on him but a bunch of butterflys danced around him.

Kal'tist: "Did you cause this blizzard?"

(Y): "Yes I did."

Rhodes Island immediately get ready for combat as (Y) stands still.

(Y): "Ahh I don't wish for-"

Ifrit immediately cuts him off as she uses her flamethrower at him... only for the flame to immediately diminish as the tip of the flamethrower gets covered in a layer of ice. Kal'tist immediately summons Mon5ter to fight for her only for a small butterfly to land on Mon5ter and destroy it completely.

(Y): "Please I do not wish to fight. I will get rid of the blizzard all I ask is for you to help the little one. She needs medical help and I can only stop the infection for so long without any equipment."

Amiya starts to blush and cover her mouth.

Amiya: "that's adorable... he's a dad!"

Ifrit, Blaze, Surtr and Silence immediately burst out laughing.

Silverash and Kal'tist just facepalm.

And Skadi just looks at (Y).

(Y) sighs and walks into the blizzard and walks back in with the small girl in his arms.

(Y): "let's please just go, she seriously needs help"

Kal'tist: "drop the blizzard and then we will agree"

(Y) sighs as almost immediately the blizzard stops and the skys clear leaving only a winter hell scape outside of his light dusting of snow in the town center.

(Y): "let's make haste I do not want to be here much longer."

(Just changed the Ursus girl to a Draco Girl)
