PAUSED/Troublemaker/ Despicable me Grucy Fanfic

1 First meet

I want to let you know that I've killed my life looking for DM2 subtitles in English (I'm Spanish and I don't know how to write everything I hear 100%) so I hope you like it! Enjoy the story!

Lucy Wilde was a rookie AVL agent.  She had only been working in that anti-villains league for two months and she was happy with her work.  She had joined because her parents died because of a villain murdering them and she wanted to protect the others from the most evil villains out there.  Leaving that aside, her life had always been normal and common, she lived alone in an apartment, she did things on her own although sometimes with the help of her two best friends;  Emily and Jenny.  She met Jenny the first day she worked at the AVL since she was on her first mission and Emily was the one who photocopied and printed all the documents she needed.

It was April 30 and as usual she had gotten up, showered and went to the coffee shop that was on the corner of her street.  There she alone, she drank her cappuccino slowly while through the window she observed the environment bored.  She was happy but she knew that her life was too boring, it was the same every day.  What gave her a reason to live was her work, she looked forward to every day that Silas, her boss, would give her a mission to carry out.  A few hours of the day passed until afternoon came and Silas called her at her office.  She, who was watching TV , quickly got dressed and got into her car.  She only thought about what kind of dangerous mission she would be involved in that day.  She arrived at the central base where Silas was waiting for her, seated at a huge round table surrounded by other agents.

"Well Lucy, today I have a mission for you that is different from the others. You are going to recruit Mr. Felonius Gru and bring him here. The reason is that we have a case that has not yet been solved and perhaps his intelligence will help us." While Silas told her All this to Lucy he would pass a file with information about Gru as his address, a photo of him and more.

Silas showed the redhead a video of a huge magnet that had stolen a secret laboratory in Antarctica.

"Argh... Three weeks and we're still no closer to cracking this."  Silas turned to Lucy.  "Right, bring him in."  Lucy only answered with a curt "Yes sir."

The redhead immediately left the base and went straight to Gru's house.  She was clear about what she had to do and she already knew who Gru was before.  His feat of stealing the moon was popularly known in the AVL and Lucy had found out about it.

Lucy arrived at Gru's house and with special glasses she began to see the land.  Gru left the house following Kyle, a kind of dog that was going to the plants of a fence to relieve himself.  Gru angrily kept calling his name and grabbed Kyle leaving him in the neighbor's flowers.  Lucy came up behind him.  "Mr. Gru?"

Gru got scared and turned his gaze towards Lucy who was approaching him slowly.
Lucy introduced herself with a cheerful greeting, saying that she came from the AVL and that he had to accompany her.  Gru quickly tried to formulate an excuse as he pulled out a weapon;

"Freeze ray!"  Gru yelled only to be surprised when he saw Lucy draw another firearm that cut the frozen blast from him.

As he shook the ice weapon at him, Lucy approached him;  "You know, you really should announce your weapons after firing them, Mr. Gru."

The redhead took a small lipstick out of her bag and pointed it at the bald man.  "For example..." An electric charge came out of the lipstick that electrocuted Gru for a few seconds.  "Lipstick taser!"  Said the redhead as Gru ends up falling to the ground.

The agent began to pull Gru with the intention of putting him in the car.  After carrying his weight and running over him, she managed to put him in the car and then go back to the AVL base, although with some setbacks like two minions chasing her who ended up kidnapped along with Gru.

Once everyone reached the submarine base, the redhead took the ex-villain out of the car.  Silas was in front of them and Gru was slowly waking up a little groggy and upset.  Silas only apologized for the way the bald man was brought in, lamenting.
"I don't" Lucy exclaimed excitedly. "I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I am not gonna lie , i enjoyed that. Every second of it gave me a bit of a buzz, actually." ​​The redhead recounted, demonstrating the excitement she had for the mission until Silas told her that enough is enough. to which Lucy responded with a pardon, becoming more serious.

"Okay, this is bogus!"  Gru claimed as he removed a starfish from his head.  "I don't know who you people think you are, but..-"

Gru was interrupted by Silas.  "We are the anti-villain league..."

Silas began to tell him who they were.  Gru simply listened annoyed and complained when Silas started talking about his feat when he stole the moon, arguing that he returned it.  Following that, Silas introduced himself and caused some laughter from the minions because of his last name.  The boss ignored him and sent Lucy to explain the situation, Gru ignored him until he was surprised to see how powerful the PX-41 was and the effect it had on some bunnies.

Silas and Lucy explained that since Gru was a villain he knows how to think like one and that he could help them.  The ex-villain rejected the offer simply due to the fact that he already had a new life and left upset.  Lucy just watched as he left and followed him to the outside of the base.  There she decided to give him a card with his number and tell him that his work as a villain was incredible.  Yes, for an agent who goes against villains to say that is strangely rare, but Lucy admitted it.  Gru just left and Lucy went back to Silas.

"There's no way."  Silas said as he got up from his seat.

"Perhaps it will change his mind. Let's leave him tonight."  The redhead answered him as he left the room.

She headed towards the secretary where Emily and Jenny were waiting for her.  Quickly, they greeted her happily although a little tired.

"Well, how about today's mission, Wilde?"  Emily asked as she sorted out papers.

"Pretty good! I had to kidnap, in quotes, an ex-villain. Gru, exactly."  Just to accompany me on a mission." Lucy began to comment.

"Wasn't that the one who stole the moon? Did they really call him to work with us?"  Jenny asked very confused.  The black-haired woman just sat at the table and crossed her arms.

"Yes, ... But he's not as bad as he seems. Maybe he's a bit grumpy, quite a bit and he even tried to attack me but I see some kindness in him."  The redhead answered as she remembered how she kidnapped the bald man.

"Kindness? Pffff, don't make things up. I wouldn't say that, a villain will never have kindness in his heart."  Jenny claimed the redhead.

"Don't believe Jenny, not all villains are the same. Don't judge without knowing."  Emily said getting up from her seat with several files in her arms.

"Exactly and if he accepts the mission I'll have a chance to get to know him better tomorrow."  Lucy said looking into Jenny's eyes.  "I'm sure he'll accept."

The three left the secretary.

"And Jenny, what's up with you today?"  Lucy changed the subject.

"Nothing interesting. I'm just here to bring some documents."  The black-haired woman answered as she searched for a key in her bag.

"Well... I have to go, have you seen the time?"  Lucy said as she looked at the time on her mobile.

"Be careful."  Jenny told the redhead as she went to her car.

They each returned to their homes.  Lucy couldn't stop thinking about whether what Emily said was true.  Were villains capable of having a good heart? Why would Silas entrust an ex-villain with a mission?  Her head was full of questions but she knew that they would be answered as time passed because she was almost sure that the bald man would accept the mission, although she still had her doubts...
