It was a normal day at Crystal River High School, Zoey Adler and her best friend, Cinna were eating lunch on the bleachers outside. Zoey and Cinna were talking about the new clubs they joined, when a popular girl named Luna came and sat next to them. Zoey and Cinna looked at each other. They knew that popular girls were trouble, but surprisingly, Luna looked upset. And not that popular girls don't get upset, there was just something about her that made Zoey feel like she should talk to Luna. As Cinna was scooting away from Luna and trying to drag Zoey along with her, Zoey got up.

"Zoey, come back here!" Cinna whisper-shouted, a little too loudly.

Zoey ignored her and went to sit down next to Luna. Luna looked up at her and muttered something that Zoey couldn't hear. "What?" Zoey asked.

"Nothing... You know what? I'll just tell you. I know you're gonna be nice to me or threaten me so I hOoK yOu uP with my..." Luna tapped her chin in thought. "Relatives." She finally spat.

Zoey was confused. "What do you mean 'relatives'?" Luna glanced at the most popular and cute boys in the school. Zoey felt her face turn red slightly. She had a crush on Luna's cousin, <>, since the first day of school, but she wouldn't use Luna to hook her up with him. "Hey... I wouldn't use you to hook me up with your, um, relatives. Honestly, that's just cruel. Who would do that?" Zoey said.

As if on cue, the most popular girl, Jessica, came and smiled at Luna. "Heyyy bestie, you know I thought since we're best friends you could, like, hook me up with your cousin..? We would be a perfect couple, and maybe in the future he and I would get married and we could be related!"

Luna looked uncomfortable. Zoey wanted to say something but she was worried about what the popular girl would do to her.She felt selfish thinking about herself so she opened her mouth and was about to say something when- "Don't ask me, ask my cousin. I don't make choices for him. And being related to you...? No thanks."

Zoey tried her best to hold her laughter. "Ugh, whatever. Bye idiots." Jessica rolled her eyes and she sashayed away. "So uhm...." Luna said as Cinna looked her up and down with a frown.

"Whatever.." Cinna muttered. Just then, the bell rang.

"I have art next, what about you, Zoey?" Luna asked as she smiled at Zoey.

"Awh man, I have gym... Not that I don't like it though- But I think Cinna has art, right Cee?" Cinna looked at Zoey, then at Luna and nodded.

"Oh... fun!" Luna said as she plastered a fake smile on her face. Zoey smiled back.

"See you two later!" Zoey said, and she disappeared into the hallway. Cinna turned to face Luna and grabbed her arms threateningly.

"If you ever lay a finger on Zoey, I'll-" Luna cut her off and pushed Cinna away from her.

"First of all, personal space, please. And second of all, just because I'm popular doesn't mean I'm weak."

Cinna snorted. "Just because you have money doesn't mean you can threaten me. No matter how popular you are, I'm not afraid of yo-"

Luna smacked Cinna hard.

"WHAT THE HECK?!!" Cinna yelled.

"I thought you weren't afraid of me," Luna smirked. Cinna rolled her eyes at her.

The two walked to the art room 'together', leaning as far away from each other in the hallway as possible.

"Luna! Just the student I was looking for. Congrats, you won the art competition so you get a chocolate prize. Here you go!"

"Awwh, thank you!" Luna said while she glared at Cinna secretly.

Cinna rolled her eyes as Luna smiled fakely. "Show off.."
