I could tell the difference between daydreaming and being in the moment. Rain was sleeping right beside me, that was reality. I could feel his energy coming off him while he slept soundly, the birds chirping by the window told me it was morning already. It was quiet. None of us spoke. We just lay there in silence. It was a comforting thought, I very much wanted to lay in bed all day with him. My senses were still gone, yet I felt fine. It was a magical moment. I saw that he started to wake up, he laid an arm around me holding me close.
"Good morning, beautiful," he said, staring at me. He got up and stretched before coming over to my side.
"Today I'll be doing the heavy lifting, Claudette already knows that I'll be taking care of you today." I was lifted up off the bed and into the bathroom. I was expressing pure joy even though I couldn't move my face. There was a certain charm that I liked in people, someone who helps others. I didn't have a type, as long as someone wasn't a psychopathic murderer then I was satisfied. He slowly put me into the bath and helped me wash, he took his time running his fingers through my hair and made sure that he wasn't hurting me. Time seemed to go faster, in the blink of an eye, I was in a new and expensive dress. I could tell that Rain picked it out by the style. It was a long silky dress that had strawberries as the pattern. It was more of a casual picnic dress than anything else. He paired the dress with pale pink doc martens.

Today was a bit repetitive, everyone had to do chores except me, who really couldn't help with anything. I just sat and watched the staff do their thing. When Rain was done with his chores he promised to take me to a secret place. Does this count as our second date? Took him a while to get around to that. Waiting was out of the question, I was too excited to see where the secret room was. I have a naturally curious mind, I uh- I used to like talking about... I can't remember, so it's probably not too important. My vision went black and I heard someone.
"Guess who?" It's Rain, he has a distinct voice.
"It's me, but you probably knew that from my distinct and beautiful voice". He does have a nice voice, beautiful even.
"I just got done talking to my mother, so we can go visit that place I was talking about. I think you would like it, I used to go there with my brother Ari. We used to pretend that we were kings ruling the church, marching around and using chairs and blankets to make a fort." We made it to a door and he opened it to a breathtaking view. It was a room with stained glass windows, all with their own unique design. It looked like The Beauty and the Beast threw up in this room. The light reflected into the windows, making the whole room look like a gay pride parade. In the center of the room was a fuzzy blanket for us to sit on. The room was very round and had similar marble statues to the ones in the hall and in the garden. The walls were wood and had some small carvings on them. If I wasn't propped up in a weird way, I wouldn't have seen the Renaissance-esque painting that was on the ceiling. Although the painting wasn't of angels and God, it was of nature and its beauty. It was so beautiful. Rain went over to a corner and got a CD. It was labeled "1980s hits".
"I know that this date isn't really ideal, I would've done something like a movie or picnic, but this room is so important to me. I have wanted to show you this room since the day you got here." He came back to where I was and helped me out of my wheelchair. We sat on the ground and admired the stained glass as the rainbow light danced on the ceiling.
"This is nice," Rain said as he shifted his weight to a more comfortable position.
"Now that we have some time to ourselves, let's enjoy this music." The music set a nice ambiance, it made the time go a bit slower. Rain got up after a few minutes and helped me up so we could dance. I didn't mind dancing, it was definitely romantic enough, but maybe we should stick to a movie next time. I felt like I was at my school prom, Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time was very much a slow dance for prom.
"I hope this lasts for a long time, I couldn't imagine my life without you," he whispered to me. The double door suddenly opened to a tall man and Pearl with a shocked expression on her face.
"When Sister Petunia told me you two were out and in this room, I thought she was pulling my leg. You two are not allowed in here, not yet. I am highly disappointed," Pearl spoke like Rain was a little boy and he broke something.
"Mother, you're embarrassing. We were just dancing in the rainbow lights. It's always so beautiful here."
"Don't disrespect me, I want you two out. I'll have Sister Petunia escort this young lady back to her room. Aristotle, if you could be a dear and help her back into her wheelchair." The tall man, Aristotle came over and took me from Rain's arms, and placed me back in the wheelchair.
"I could have put her in the wheelchair."
"I know Rain, but you need some time apart."
"How would you know that being together has been a dream come true?"
"I admire your admiration for them, romance only lasts for a while though. You will lose interest soon." The nerve of this woman. Rain stood there, he looked like he wanted to retaliate but just angrily walked away. Pearl was hunting down Petunia, and Aristotle was wheeling me around. We found her eventually talking to Claude and cleaning the marble statues.
"My dear Petunia, please take this young woman back to her room. Oh, and draw her a bath," Pearl discussed, but then walked away to go back to her work. Petunia had a sly grin on her face and she practically gripped the handles of the wheelchairs, most likely to keep her composure.
"Now I know that we haven't had much time to talk, but since you have gotten here things have been going bad for me. You are the number one problem right now, but if I got rid of you now then people would start being suspicious. Let's establish these facts: I like Rain, I have been here longer than you, and Pearl likes me. With that out of the way, you have only been here for a few days and Rain likes you for some reason. I have been trying my hardest to get Rain's attention and I utterly despise you for getting close to him. Why would he like a pile of flesh? It doesn't make any sense!" I was scared. Petunia kept venting her feelings to me as she took me farther and farther away from my room. Also, it makes sense that Petunia is a suck-up for Pearl, she just wanted to be near Rain. That being said, she would never kill me, right?
"I really don't care if I get in trouble, I'm taking you to my room."
"I rather you didn't," Claudette commented. She blocked Petunia and grabbed onto the wheelchair and swiftly took me back to my room. I could see that she was nervous and antsy, constantly checking her surroundings. This is not like her.
"Sorry that I couldn't watch you, glad I caught you in time before Petunia got rid of you. Pearl is so blind sometimes, I swear she can't tell when someone is feeling any sort of emotion." She is aware of her son's emotions, possibly. She treats him like a child sometimes.
