Stella was getting ready for her date Pierre, they both agreed that it was just a "friendly date" until they figure it out. She picked up her jacket from her bed and got out of her room just when her phone started ringing

She frowned deeply when she saw the called ID "Hello?" She answered pressing at the down button of the elevator

"Ella, hey!" Charles greeted with an unreadable tone "Where are you?"

"I was just leaving the hotel, I'm going out" she informed him "Are you okay, Charles? You don't seem okay, is it about the race tomorrow? You're nervous? You did great today at Qualifying, you got the second position"

"Who are you going with?" He questioned ignoring her questions just when she made it down. She remained silent debating whether she should tell him or not

"With a friend" she replied shortly and Pierre came to her view

"And that friend happens to be my best friend?" He asked dryly and she forced a smile as Pierre wrapped his arms around her and she felt her heart twist painfully inside her ribcage

"I have to go now, I'll talk to you later" she said quickly and hang up as Pierre opened the door for her "Thank you, what a gentleman"

"I try my best" he said with his rich french accent, it reminded her of Charles' but she quickly pushed the comparison aside "I assumed you'd like to visit the beach considering you're a beach girl"

"I'd love that" she smiled at him, he was thoughtful and kind but somehow Charles seemed to ruin her entire mood by that one call. If that was his purpose that he succeeded
