Shinobu didn't die like her comrades did. Sure, she had spent all of her life preparing to take down Kibutsuji Muzan or die trying, but her almost immediate sacrifice and her lack of a Mark set her apart from the rest.
She had pumped her body full of wisteria, her only weapon, and took down the demon that killed her sister. Douma mocked her for being weak, she was the one who weakened him. He absorbed her and subsequently had his bones melted, allowing for Kanao and Inosuke to cut off his head.
It was worth it to bring Kibutsuji and the Upper Ranks down, she supposes, though she does regret leaving Kanao and the others behind. She remembers talking to Douma in his final moment, the moment when he could finally feel emotion after centuries.
Rather disgustingly, in her opinion, he falls in love with her. She sincerely hopes that she will never meet him again in any circumstance.
The next thing she knew, she was a newborn again, born to parents with the abilities of demons. The hair, the eyes, the extra limbs of her classmates and of strangers...they all reminded her of demons. There was so much to unlearn and relearn.
She didn't know how to feel when her quirk manifested. As a toddler, she had inhaled a toxic amount of carbon monoxide while her father worked, and by instinct, created a bubble of an antidote right in front of her.
Shinobu's curiosity gets the best of her then, causing her to eat, ingest, or interact with anything that might be poisonous. It wasn't until she suddenly discovers she summoned the exact poison she used against Douma that she figured out the extent of her quirk.
She names it Mix Venom, which allows her to neutralize, generate, and synthesize any poison she had previously ingested, with no special time frame required. It is truly a quirk fitting of the Insect Hashira.
When she's alone, Shinobu often wonders why she was given a second chance when no one else had. Why is she here, all alone, without her sisters? They deserve to live too, and yet, she's the only one.
She was born again for a purpose, she realizes. Not that she has any idea what that reason is, but retraining her body can't hurt. As soon as she's old enough, she begins to train with a katana again. The feeling of a katana in her hands is bittersweet, reminding her of her past life and comrades. Demons don't exist anymore, but old habits die hard, she finds.
Starting with using Total Concentration Breathing again, she slowly rebuilds her old strength. It's good that she is now just over ten centimeters taller than she was in her previous life.
She is now 18 again and in the Hero Course of U.A. Additionally, she takes special lessons with Recovery Girl in the Hospital Wing and assists with the healing, reminiscent of her days at the Butterfly Estate. Again, old habits die hard. She has the ability to save lives and she's going to use it.
Shinobu stands in the Hospital Wing now, reorganizing her personal medicine cabinet. With the addition of a new antidote she created, the whole cabinet needed to be reorganized. Next to her, on her desk, sits a PC displaying all of UA. Should anyone need medical assistance, she will be able to see it.
Currently, Class 1A is on a field trip to the USJ. The screen showing the USJ shakes, showing an inhuman creature, then goes black. Shinobu's head jerks, halting her movement. Her quirk swelled within her at the sight.
That couldn't have been a demon, could it? Was it dark in the USJ? She couldn't see much before the connection was suddenly cut.
The air around her is suddenly suffocating. She's probably wrong, demons haven't existed for centuries, but it couldn't hurt to check on them, would it? As a medical professional? Or, she can alert the teachers
