"You're a monster Alexa!" the highschool girl who had been haunting my dreams for the past six years told me.
And I embraced her because ,I deserved it.
I destroyed her through the snap of my fingers. That's what high school made. A stupid and destructive bitch.
Yes, I woke up breathing in heavy pants as the images of how I tortured her came to her mind. One day it would all come back at me and I didn't care since I deserved it.
"Alexa!?" the loud shouts or yell from my my mother startled the hell out of me.
"Am awake" I yelled back ready to take a shower and head out to take a plane to Seattle. I was moving to Seattle to try out my new job as accountant.Despite being a 'bad' girl in high school, I still studied and was now heading to my dream job. It had always been my dream to sit behind that counter and just wait as customers lined to get services from me. What enticed me the most was that I was going to help and not destroy.
Dressed in a pair of skinny jeans, slouchy sweater, and boots I went downstairs and found my mum with a coffee mug in her hands written 'Best wife ever' sipping from it.
I never liked that mug , how do you get your wife a mug for Valentine's. Personally, that was pretty petty and too small. I never liked my dad, we both had this disconnect between us that made us like water and oil.
Unmixable. If that is a word.
"I'll miss you Alexa, so much"
"I know mum and you'll crush me if you keep going" literally she was crushing me with her swollen belly.
"Sorry baby, now take care " my sister was next to embrace me in a tight hug. She was the ever quiet one, sometimes I feared that she was being bullied but that wasn't the case. It was just in her nature.
"Bye Nika , I'll miss you too" she couldn't voice them out but I knew she felt them. I could feel it through her eyes. My dad was absent which I sincerely didn't care about. He could dissapear for all I care.
My four hour forty five hour flight ended in a jiffy and soon I was in the busy airport of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. I bumped into people from all sides , some in rush from being almost being late , some in tears from leaving families but I didn't care about all that , all I cared about was Mike.
Fucking Mike and his tendencies to always be late which annoyed her but right now ,freaked me out since I didn't know where I would stay if he didn't show up.
After three hours of waiting in an airport boredly he showed and his reason was that.
He forgot."So , dear cousin this will be your new humble home" he handed her the keys and toured her around. The house was good if she were asked. Everything about it was splendid except where it was located and the street leading to it. Dark and dangerous and she feared danger to some level.
He left immediately after, typical him. The fridge was stocked so I was sure I wouldn't starve at least for the first night.
I opened the laptop and was met by the e-mail from the bank saying I was required to start tomorrow and so today was my only free and I would spend it wisely.
Find the mall , do some crazy shopping especially for formal work outfits. Next find where I would be buying lunch I was not ready to start looking tomorrow during the short work breaks. I toured the city while feeding on ice cream for some time.
Retiring back to my place I slumped on the chair ready to call my mom just know how she was so far since I have not called her since I took the flight. Tomorrow would be a busy day.
