T.W.- concerns about death and losing a loved one.

"All right, everyone! That's it for the day! Great job, as usual!" I waved goodbye to everyone and decided to go back home. That is until I got a call from Jason.

"Hey, what's up?" I ask.

"Hey, I left something on the table in the bedroom and it has a contract that I need for this meeting I have. Can you come and bring it to me?"

"Yeah, sure. Be there in 20 minutes."

"Thank you, love you," he says,

"Love you too. Bye." I hang up and drive back to the house. Miyuki was already there and she was twirling around, looking as giddy as a unicorn.

"What's with you, giddy pants?" She just smiled at me, beaming and lighting up the entire room.

"His parents like me! They like me! This is a huge weight off my shoulders!" I smiled.

"I'm happy for you. You want to come to Jason's office with me?" I ask her.

"No thanks. I'm meeting with Eric for dinner tonight."

"How long have you guys been dating? I forgot." Miyuki thought about it.

"Um...about 6-7 months now," she said.

"That's awesome. Well, I gotta go give Jason this envelope and I'll see you later." She nods.

"Bye!" I walk upstairs and change into some new clothes because a cropped sweatshirt is not very appropriate for an office. I grab the envelope and walk out the door. When I got to the office, the building was huge! Holy crap, I can't even see the top. I shake my head and enter the lobby. I see a bunch of people, hustling and bustling. Something big must be going on. I walk over to the receptionist, who gave me a bored but disgusted look.

"Can I help you?" She asked. Um, okay then.

"Um, I'm here to see Jason Donnelly," I say. She scoffs and admires her nails.

"No one sees anyone without an appointment," she replies.

"I'm his wife." She just looked at me before laughing at me and rolling her eyes.

"Please. A bitch like you could never be Mr. Jason's wife. He needs a woman like me, not some little girl." Who the fuck does this bitch think she is?! Oh, I'll show her. I reach for my phone and call Jason.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Jason," I say, emphasizing his name to the receptionist. She looks up.

"Hey, you here?"

"Yeah, but your receptionist won't let me through. She said that a bitch like me could never be Mr. Jason's wife. And she called me a little girl." The secretary looked terrified.

"Really? Well, I'll call her right now."

"Thank you." I hang up and wait for the phone to ring. When it did, I just smirked. She hesitantly picked up the phone and flinched away when she heard Jason's loud and angry voice.

"Yes, sir. Right away, sir. I'm very sorry sir. I'll apologize right now, sir. Yes, sir." She hung up and looked at me.

"I'm very sorry. I didn't think that you were his wife."

"Save it. Next time, don't make that mistake or there'll be one less secretary in the office."

I walk over to the elevators and took them to the 7th floor, where Jason's office was. The doors opened and I walked down the hallway to a door that had his name on it. I knocked on the door and I heard his voice telling me to come in. I open the door and I see Jason standing by his window and looking out. I place the envelope on the extended table and walk over to him.
