Here's the next part to my story!

It was the next day and Sophie had just gotten home after a long day of Foxfire classes. She walked over to Calla's panakes tree and saw just who she had wanted to see. She sat down under the tree, right next to Keefe. They sat as close to each other they could without touching.

"Another rough day?" Keefe asked.

"Not rough, just really long." Sophie said but then she thought about it and added, "actually it was kinda rough. I had to spend the whole day waiting to see someone."

"Oh yeah? And who would that be?" Keefe questioned with his signature smirk.

"I was just really missing Iggy for some reason."

There was a moment of quiet between the two of them, neither knowing what to say next. As the silence stretched, the space between them slowly decreased and soon their knees were touching.

After what felt like hours, Keefe broke the stillness. "How's Fitzy holding up?"

"He seems fine, but do you really want to talk..." Sophie was looking into his eyes and slowly trailed. Suddenly, all she could think about was Keefe's lips. She forgot where she was and what she had been talking about. Her only thoughts were about Keefe.

"Foster? Foster?" He tried snapping his fingers in front of her face to break her trance. "Sophie?"

"Hmm.." She looked dazed but quickly recovered. Once she realized what happened, she turned beet red. "I-I'm sorry. I don't know what...Actually..." She stopped talking and leaned over towards Keefe. She lifted her head and kissed him. She kissed him more passionately than she had ever done before. Everything else didn't matter. The world could be ending and she wouldn't care. Sophie was kissing Keefe and Keefe was kissing Sophie. Everything was suddenly right. She never wanted the moment to end but Keefe slowly pulled away.

"Whoaaa," He said breathlessly as he ran a hand through his blond hair.

Sophie just sat there, looking sheepish but not regretting any of it. She would do it again. In fact, she wanted to, but some sense finally returned to her "We shouldn't be doing this out here. I'm sorry I did it. We don't want to get caught. I don't know if I'm ready to tell Grady."

"Yeah, that's probably for the best. But what about Edaline?"

Sophie was playing with her fingers subconsciously, "I'm pretty sure she already knows. She seems to have some superpower when it comes to...boys. Anyways, I should probably go inside. If I don't check in, Edaline might get worried." She slowly got up and was about to head to her house, but she bent down and gave Keefe a quick kiss on the cheek. She turned away before she could see his reaction. She kept walking and didn't look back.
